Monte Solaro

Fabulous location and views on top of a hill. Romantic setting with the waft of lemon blossom. Costanzo our host was super friendly and helpful with our baggage, We felt very welcome here. Rooms were clean and well set up.

Exceptionally warm welcome from the owner at this hotel. He was friendly and helps you whenever he can. The hotel is high up a steep hill...... 200 steps and a slope! It's worth it though to enjoy the amazing views from the terrace down over Anacapri. The sunset was stunning. For the less mobile they do offer to pick you up and drop you of at the bottom of the hill. Breakfast is ample with a range of pastries, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurts, fruit and cereal. I would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, however, we were offered grappa and a cup of tea in the evenings. A wonderful place to stay.

The internet did not work in our room even after telling the guy twice it still didnt get fixed. The photos look great but the night we were there it was foggy and rainy so the view was very disappointing.

If you are willing to hike a little this is a super place. Costanzo and his family (and neighbors) treated us great. Costanzo's father is the safest driver in Europe! We only walked up the driveway once.

The hotel is a very cozy bed and breakfast where the owner takes great care of you. The place is clean with a nice big bathroom and shower. The view is absolutely amazing overlooking the water and is certainly worth staying there for.

Run by two very hospitable brothers, Monte Solaro regularly hit high marks for us during our stay. When you get into Antecapri, one of the 2 brothers will be ready for your call and they will pick you up, the B & B is not even a minute from the bus stop. The ride shows you the one draw back of the B & B, the driveway. The driveway is very steep and the walk up can be exhausting. However this steep arrival is a blessing in disguise, for when you finally get to the B&B you will be greeted with one of the best views on the isle from high up on the mount. There are only 4 rooms, which allows for a sense of intimacy. The rooms are good size with nice marble flooring and a shower with a rainfall shower head. Every morning there is a traditional Italy breakfast of croissants, cheeses and whatnot, and nearly every night one of the brothers will be greeting you with a shot or 2 of grappa. The walk down the drive is easier than up, and it'll place you right outside the heart of Antecapri. There's a little shop with wines, cheeses and meat, and a very nearby restaurant with above decent food (a stay at Monte Solaro gets you 10% off). There are plenty of other restaraunts right in the area, and the two brothers speak very passable English and can make reservations for you. Would definitely stay at Monte Solaro again in the future.

Monte Solaro was an amazing bed and breakfast; I would strongly recommend that anyone staying in Capri chooses this destination. My sister and I only were able to stay for two nights but wish we had had more time. Monte Solaro is located at the top of island, allowing the beautiful scenic view to be seen from all areas of the bed and breakfast. The sunset views are absolutely breathtaking and you are just a scenic walk away from the town center; the town center has the most adorable shops with beautiful ceramic tiles and delicious places to eat. Monte Solaro itself has a beautiful breakfast spread each morning with fresh fruit and warm croissants topped with powdered sugar. The family that owns the bed and breakfast are so charming, helpful, and kind. They truly seem happy to have you there. Unlike other bed and breakfasts you have complete privacy, and personal bathrooms. The rooms are separated instead of being in one main building. Overall we fell in love with the island and Monte Solaro.

It is a quiet little tucked away place. Beautiful sunsets. The staff are so good, that we still keep in touch with them today. A little piece of paradise.

This was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. Costenzo is such an incredible host! He picked us up from the piazza and drove us up to his paradise of a B&B, and gave us a bottle of wine when he discovered it was our honeymoon to watch the sunset with! He's such a great guy! The way they go out of the way at this place to make you feel like family is amazing. The hotel is clean, and the breakfasts were fantastic! They have the best croissants we had on our whole trip! There are A LOT of stairs to get to the hotel but the view from there is worth it. Costenzo even woke up at 4am on our last day to drive us to the ferry so we wouldn't miss it. This is a gem of a hotel and we will definitely recommend it to anyone and do our best to go back. Excellent experience!

The hotel is really wonderful. Breakfast is provided in the morning, and you can eat it while watching the beautiful ocean. It is hard to find, but it's worth it!
