DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa - Arpora - Baga

We had a room with private pool. Pool was well maintained and clean. The check in and check out have been smooth. Restuarant had a range of options. Housekeeping team have been prompt . All parameters for a comfortable stay have been met. Thankyou all . Cheers !

The rooms were excellent!

I’m going to be totally honest. If I could rate the staff and cleanliness of this hotel it would be 5 stars all the way. The commitment of all the staff during our stay (particularly Nigham by the pool & Dunsin at the bar) was nothing short of excellent and the Hilton Group should commend you on your efforts and loyalty. The pool area proved to be both and haven and in the end the downfall of the hotel. A popular place (obviously) and a sanctuary for most of the time. However, the hotels failure to enforce some sort of control over individuals brining their own music ended up ruining the stay. I have no issue with the hotel playing music if that’s their policy, but to allow guests to just bring in their own speakers and play music as loudly as they want, regardless of other guests is a failure to those other guests. Because of this we, as a family were put in a position where we had little choice but to leave. (The hotel manager and staff did their utmost to help us in our move and totally understood our position, but internal policy failures meant they had no way of stopping those people destroying other guests stay). It has left a bad taste for me and my family and ultimately put a real sour end to our holiday. I will hold Hilton solely accountable for this and will be taking the issue further with their group head office. Would we come back. Not until this issue has been resolved Other issues were there too. WiFi is appalling and the food was not 4 star at all.

The private pool with the room was as expected

The staff at reception was unusually inefficient, it took us more than 30 minutes to check out, the mere was only one position of the 3 positions working, and the people were attending out of turn, people in queue kept waiting. The horrible experience at checkout washed away the good memories of the previous 3 nights, and we are not coming back to this hotel again, nor would recommend it to anyone. The staff does not have the courtesy to occupy all positions at least around the checkout time of 11.00AM, they were just loitering around keeping people waiting.
