DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa - Arpora - Baga

The hotel is centrally located close to Anjuna beach which is a very scenic and beautiful area to stay. It’s away from the city noise and very good restaurants close by. The Hotel offers variety of Continental and Indian breakfast. The hotel has very clean and well maintained swimming pool for adults and kids. We were very happy with the staff especially Ms.Azera who was very kind and helpful through our stay. We had an amazing experience and would Love to be back again 👍

🚫 Recommendations: DO NOT stay at this hotel. Unsafe, exploitative, and guest‑unfriendly. AVOID at all costs. 🚫 This hotel is in collusion with the local taxi union, effectively trapping guests. Once you check in, you are forced to use their taxis at 2–3 times the normal fare, with outside taxis completely banned. On our last day, when we booked an independent cab, union members blocked it. The hotel lobby refused to help, showing zero concern for guest safety. We had to drag our luggage for 500 meters, only to find our driver surrounded and threatened. The union even produced a letter from hotel management granting them exclusive rights over all guests. To make matters worse, Hotel Manager Mr. Antony asked us to walk to the taxi point. After witnessing the tussle, we approached him for help. He unapologetically admitted he knew about this issue. When asked why he hadn’t warned us in advance about the danger, he casually replied that the problem is “well known on social media” and he expected us to already know. This is an outrageous abdication of responsibility and a blatant disregard for guest safety. The situation was hostile and intimidating—we genuinely feared missing our flight. Hotel management was indifferent, leaving us to fend for ourselves in a threatening environment. This is not hospitality—it is harassment and exploitation. Strong warning: Stay away from this property. It is unsafe, unethical, and a disgrace to customer service.

Staff is helping and polite..room was ok..not well cleaned.. breakfast had variety but lacked taste.live counter was good indeed..pool is good and clean.

Hotel charged us more than the normal rates. First they blamed it on bookin.com as they are third party and later they said their pricing keeps changing everyday. This was inspite of mentioning this price difference during checkin. Later there is no co-ordination between front desk, hotel amanger and housekeeping. We had to goto the room after and hour of waiting to get the room cleaned up faster ourself. On top of this the lazy manager balmed us to forcefully enter the room and interrupt their extemely slow movements. This unprofessional approach to delay a guest till 5 pm and then also try to hide whats happening in the room was just their attempt cover up their laziness and slow response. wasted our complete fun of reaching a destination and also ruined our evening plans
