Captain Mey's Inn

It would have been nice to have the owner available to greet us and give us the code to open the front door. Fortunately, another guest was there to help us. They also showed us where to get the Kcups for the Keurig machine. We NEVER got to see the owner during our stay. The room was very small and the shower was also quite small. Probably the best part of the stay was the front porch with the rockers and tables/chairs. We enjoyed sitting there and watching the people as they passed.

Great last minute stay. Beautiful little house in the heart of downtown Cape May. 1 Block to the outdoor mall, 3 blocks from the beach. Quiet, comfortable, private & perfect

The inn is charming and cozy. Great location. Very clean. The shower cabin needs better shower head, and there's no sound insulation in the inn, you could hear your neighbors very well.

The room was very cozy bed extremely comfortable everything I needed to make my stay very pleasant owner let me check in early due to an early arrival which was very nice would definitely recommend captain mey

House was decorated very nicely and was charming.Was a short walk to restaurants and shopping.

It was very clean but the potpourri smell in the main part of the house was overwhelming .

This was our second stay at Capt Mey's and we would certainly go back again. This old, quaint Victorian is welcoming, comfortable and spotless. It's in a perfect location to walk to the beach or shopping and restaurants. Covid precautions include contactless check in and check out as well as housekeeping.

Captain Mey's is always a pleasure to visit. It's charming and homey and has the perfect porch for people watching. The owners are welcoming without being intrusive and provide a comfortable, clean and tidy atmosphere. Coffee and tea is available all day, and the use of the dining room and sitting room is always open. The rooms each have their own name and their own unique charm with varying patterns of floral wall paper, beautiful old furniture, and extra comfy beds. For a modern touch, the rooms have been updated to include ceiling fans, window a/c units, and small flat screen tvs. Music is often playing softly in all the common areas and the smell of cinnamon is prevalent on the breezes coming through the open windows in the dining area. This is one of my favorite, quaint inns in the US and one I will visit every summer.

Overall good experience, quaint and clean. Great location. Wish I could have stayed more than one night. Shower is very small.

This house is absolutely beautiful. It’s in walking distance of everything. We stayed in the Williams of Orange room on the third floor. It has a beautiful bathroom with a jetted tube. The room and the house was clean and nicely decorated. I loved the cozy feel of the room. Everything was great on until we laid down in the bed. As soon as you laid down you rolled to the middle. It was like laying on mush. When we laid in the bed it felt like we were on an incline with our feet up. So we laid at the foot of the bed. Then we had to lay on pillows. We both have bad backs so this just made things worst. I came here without a limp or pain. I’m leaving with a limp and lots of pain. This is my first experience in a bed and breakfast. This bed ensures that it will be our last. It also didn’t help that we had no access to a microwave. I didn’t bother complaining about the bed (didn’t See not one employee). I feel we should be compensated but I didn’t feel like putting up a fight on my birthday trip. Cape May is lovely and we will come again. Next time, I’ll stay in a hotel in Wildwood though.
