Hotel Le Stelle - self check-in

The photos look much nicer than the real setting.

Property was average but the location was a plus

Stayed in a single economy room which was a tiny space but perfect for a solo traveler. Was not able to use safe as it was locked when i arrived. Was not able to use the self check in due to the fact that American credit card didn't have a pin to check in. Perfect location to roam around Lucerne. Just the basics but clean.

Great little hotel right in the middle of old town. Room was nice and clean. Just fyi you do have to go up one flight of stairs before getting to the elevator

Small room, no AC, no staff. Average room.

Very small room, lift is ultra slow and not comfortable for long stay. Pls book only if you have no other choice and have to stay only for a night.

Great location in the old city!!! Liked the room. No AC but fan was ok, the beams are the ambiance but the hazard. Elevator but it pnly starts one floor up so luggage has to go up one flight of stairs. Refridgerator did not work. Bed had some serious lumps. Would definitely stay again. Self checkin went smoothly except they only show your room number once. MEMORIZE IT QUICKLY, IT WILL NOT BE ON YOUR KEY CARD!

Location is perfect, rooms are luxurious

We stayed 1 night and we had a restful stay. Self check-in was quick and easy. The owner allowed us to leave our luggage bec we arrived earlier than check-in time. He was kind and accommodating. I loved the area because it is in the heart of Lucerne, in the old town. Stepping outside of the hotel felt like visiting the olden times. Easy 8-min walk to the train station. 2-min walk to the Chapel Bridge. 12-min walk to the Lion Monument. The reason I gave 4 was because the stairs and floor are very creaky. Maybe because the building is old. There is no aircon but there were 2 small fans and they worked fine. The room is small but enough for a 1 night stay.

The shower didn't drain unless you stopped the water several times while showering and there was a bit of mold at the bottom of the glass. The mattress was quite thin - we can usually sleep on almost anything but we found the bed very uncomfortable. The location was great - close to shops, restaurants and transportation. We had a good time in Lucerne.
