Hotel Hibiscus

This place was perfect for us - our little thatched hut (the thatch is actually plastic so perfectly sealed and clean and sealed against mosquitoes at night), the mini kitchen where we made simple breakfast and lunches, the beautiful coastline and beach! It was surprisingly quiet for staying in a bungalow without A/C and we slept like babies with the ceiling fan on. Loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. Perfect for those looking for a more authentic, non- resort experience. Could not recommend it more.

lovely nice quiet place

This hotel captured the essence of Moorea. It's not fancy at all. It's rustic, authentic, and super relaxing. The location next to the park and beach as well as 6-8 local restaurants and small grocery stores make it ideal to save money or really get a feel for the local culture. The hotel owner (Natalie) is wonderful, the staff is friendly (although the French waitress is stereotypical), and the grounds neat, clean, and tropical. This hotel is probably the best value for the money on the island !!

Great location on the beach. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and two small grocery stores. Rent a kayak on site and paddle to the motus. Beautiful area. Perfect spot for sunset views.

I love this property because it is small and low-key with a very helpful and friendly staff. Found the food to be ok. Restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance. Was not able to book a fare so had to take the hotel type room. Absolutely loved it and enjoyed our little garden patio. Would actually book same accommodation again. Wish the mini kitchenette had a few more cooking items, such as spatula, larger knives, cutting board, salt and pepper. Even without these items we made it work for breakfast and occasional dinner.

I was unable to stay at the hotel due to their limited check-in time and the fact that the hotel is actually on another island from the airport. I called in an attempt to get a late check-in and was told no. I attempted to get some form of refund, even partial, and Hotels.com could not get an approval from them and Hotels.com itself was also unwilling.

Amazing rooms with beach at the back!

Excellent location! Restaurant had an awesome sunset view! The bungalow defiantly gave you the island experience. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only negative I have to say is about one staff member.We wanted to order a taxi for the evening and she proceeded to tell us that you need to order a taxi 24 hours in advance and told us that this isn’t America and we can’t expect things right away. Then she asked if we were done because she had other customers she had to attend. If it wasn’t for the other staff members we would’ve checked out. Not sure if I would stay here again. I enjoyed the location But she really made us feel uncomfortable.

A disappointing , overpriced hotel. We stayed for a week and we only received toiletries on the third day.No television in the room and the shower head was faulty and wouldn't sit properly on the wall. The only saving grace was the Sunset restaurant which was reasonably priced and the food was excellent.

Great location near small town, good beach, great view of the lagoon, great wi-fi, no hot water (but claim they are getting it fixed), loud roosters in the morning. Bungalows dated and funky but comfortable. Good overall experience, but don’t expect too much. Small complex, maybe 30 units. Definitely not a Hilton. OK value for the price.
