A lovely rural oasis. A beautiful property. Lovely dinner. About a 50 minute drive to the airport (at 5 am!). This was our second stay and we will be back.

"Beautiful 2 nights in Poasito "

Lovely hotel. Nice decor. There is not much around the hotel. But only 25 mins to the Poas Volcano. Dirt road up to the hotel.

"The perfect last night in Costa Rica"

We loved our stay in the Poas volcano lodge. The lodge and room were cosy, a real home from home, with a British feel to it (the owners are English). Everything was very clean. There are lots of nice touches, such as the library and games room, and some good trails to walk around the farm. The volcano was a good half hour drive away and was shrouded in cloud when we stayed, but we so enjoyed our visit to the lodge we didn't mind too much! The waterfall gardens are only 10 mins away and are well worth a visit. We had a lovely and reasonably priced (for Costa Rica) dinner in the restaurant with charming service. Breakfast the next morning was a little slow, and we had to forego the hot dish as we had an 8am volcano booking, so I would recommend booking the National Park for 8.30am instead if you want a full breakfast beforehand. Would definitely recommend and would stay here if in the area again. It's less than an hour's drive from the airport so the perfect final night option and much nicer than staying in San Jose.

"Beautiful and unique "

This lodge is lovely, comfortable and friendly. The free breakfast is generous and delicious and the dinners are so good. The decor is wonderful with local wood and stone. Lots of areas to sit with coffee and chat. The rooms and bath are spotless, spacious and beautiful.
