Honey Resort

Stayed here 9 nights mid july, the weather was the worst I have ever encountered in Asia. Rained almost every day and was cloudy for the rest. During our 10 days in Phuket, we had about 20 minutes of sun. Safe to say, I will never be returning to Phuket. Will gladly go back to Koh Samui instead which i reccomend. Honey Resort - nice place to stay. Quiet location despite the renovation work being carried out that we were not warned about. This hotel is between Kata and Karon and very central to shops/markets/nightlife/cafes. Plenty of places to eat! The hotel has a pool but the pool is very small and we didn't use it more than once during our 9 night stay. We went to the beach or used other resort pools. The free breakfast was great and we enjoyed it every day. Overall, Honey offers a good rate per night and we found it to be comfortable for the long stay. being quiet and central, just added to the resorts appeal.

The staff where all very friendly and the rooms, all with balcony, were generous, comfortable and very clean. Bathroom clean with bath and shower and I had no hot water problems. Drains sometimes smelly but that's peculiar to nearly all places in Phuket not specifically this hotel. The pool was certainly big enough to swim in although no so, if full of children of course. 10/12 poolside beds adequate in low season, probably not so in high season. Breakfast adequate albeit the same everyday and although there was no tea/coffee provided in the room, cups and flasks of hot water were available if you bought your own drinks. Strange having to pay for wifi when everywhere was free! 6-7 minutes to the lovely beach using a short cut. Overall a great budget hotel that I would choose again. Hopefully the building work going on next door will be finished soon.

Stayed for 12 days, hotel staff nice even if english is limited. Room are cleaned & comfortable. Beach is 5 min walk through a dirty canal to access to kata beach but ok. Kata noi & karon beach are walking distance no need taxi. Restaurant, cafe & night club in the area. Quiet hotel, highly recommanded.

It wasn't easy to find a decent hotel at peak season that suited my budget, but this one perfectly suited me and I am glad we stayed at this hotel. It is located in a quiet street, yet only a very easy walking distance to the beach and Kata center. The breakfast provided was more than I expected. Across the street is a row of shops - hairdresser, nail salon, massage - great service, and more importantly, they are owned by a lovely Thai lady.

Hotel is close to the beach. Excellent location. Good amenities. Nice room.

Staff did not speak lots of English but were OK and very friendly. This hotel is comfortable,kept very clean and excellent value for money. Not luxury but modest and very good for families and people wanting to do a lot of excursions. Pool is in the shade in the afternoon which is a shame. Great location, close to the beach and kata!

The room was neat and clean. It had all the basic items that you would need. No roaches or mosquitoes. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Thou they speak minumum amount of English, they would still find resources to assist you on your query. Its a nice place to stay with your family. No loud music n etc. The only thing that wasn't so great about the hotel was the breakfast buffet. Almost the same menu daily. No variety. Overall I would rate it 4.

The only thing is the bathroom, when bad smelling is coming up through the bathtub! Many Russians around there!
