Location was perfect for us - well placed for the railway terminus, city centre, old town and our adjacent holiday barge pick-up point. The bedroom & bathroom were OK for a small 2* / 3* city centre hotel; small but clean and equipped with the basics.

The lift was broken throughout our 3-day stay. There was no offer of help for us in our 70s to struggle with heavy suitcases up 3 flights of narrow stairs. There was no in-room information. Nothing about hotel contact details, how to use the little safe, catering arrangements, tv channels etc which the foreign tourist might expect.

Room is very basic but location is excellent. Breakfasts are average

Laundry was done but not folded very well so all clothes were extremely creased.
