The Originals Boutique, Villa Montpensier

My wife said that this hotel has character. High ceilings in the spacious room, old-fashioned with a very nice garden, where one can have coffee of a drink. The location is O.K., about a 5-7 minute walk into town. The best thing, perhaps, is that the parking is free right in front of the hotel. The staff at reception was a bit cold, and we were told that our room would only be ready at 4:00 p.m., which seemed ridiculous to us, since it appeared that many rooms were not taken and the hotel was certainly not full. Still, it was a good choice for us.

Unable to check-in as nobody at hotel, door locked, blinds down and carpark empty. Ended up leaving for another hotel yet still got charged.

Excellent accueil. Hotel bien placé à proximité du centre ville. Excellent petit-déjeuner avec des produits locaux.

Très bien. Le personel est accueillant, le petit déjeuner extra et très bien placé pour visiter la ville et cerise sur le gâteau il y a un parking.

Très bon accueil dans cet hôtel situé en centre ville, avec parking privé devant l'hôtel, très pratique.

Super adresse pour visiter Pau. Un hôtel charmant, un accueil très sympathique, chambre calme et confortable, petit-déjeuner copieux avec des gâteaux maison. Rien à dire sinon revenir !

We arrived to find that reception was being staffed by a cleaner. Eventually we were shown to an old untidy room. We had bicycles so we wanted access to the secure parking. But they couldn't find the key. So we carried the bicycles through the hotel to the back. And then they charged us anyway. It seriously needs modernizing. Never again.

Wir haben um 23:00 Uhr das Hotel online gebucht. Das Hotel war nicht besetzt. Wir stehen vor der Hoteltür, verbringen die Nacht draußen.

Stayed here two nights. Beds were very comfortable, the room was a good size(twin). Good breakfast. Staff could not be more helpful and provided an excellent service. Has off street parking and is an easy 5 min walk to the heart of Pau. The bathrooms have recently been redone and were very nice.
