Excellent accueil dans un havre de tranquillité. Très bon emplacement géographique tout proche du centre ville. Petit déjeuner de qualité.

We did an overnight stop here on our way to Spain. It was clean, comfortable and really friendly. Breakfast was a simple buffet in the downstairs breakfast room, but we were offered eggs and bacon if we wanted. I don't know why it was so quiet (only s3 cars out front, 1st Saturday in July), but I'd definitely stay here again.

Perhaps a little old fashioned in decor, but with off road parking outside the front. All the staff were very cheerful and helpful. Our room was large , and the bed confortable, though with no kettle or tea/coffee facilities Breakfast was adequate. Our room was at the back and very quiet, so a good sleep. The hotel is only a short walk to the town, which is very convenient. The town itself is a charming place.

We only stayed one night on our way home from our holiday,it was ok! Did not have time for breakfast so can't comment on that ,the rooms were a bit dated, but as we say it's French! Lol,location and parking was great ,we found it ok with a sat nav, may be different if you did not have one,no bar to have a six o'clock drink!!! ,would we stay again?? One night was fine

all excellent for 3 stars ..overall 9/10.. Excellent team and attitude .. 10 minutes from downtown... old building but everything updated and very cozy inside.. for price i would choose it again.. Bests.

The hotel was lovely as was Pau. The check in staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, the wifi good and the breakfast very good. Parking was also easily available. One review on here said the hotel looked tired. I suppose it's all a matter of perception but I don't know that I would agree with that. The rooms were exactly what I would expect in a traditional French hotel and the beds were very comfortable. Plus the bathrooms looked like they had been modernised relatively recently. If you are expecting the kind of finish you would normally get in a super modern chain hotel you are going to be disappointed. Personally I always prefer character and this hotel had heaps of it. Pau itself was an incredibly pleasant surprise. We booked it as a stop on our way home from Spain, simply because it was somewhere we had never heard of let alone been to and totally fell in love with the place. If there was one thing that could have been improved it would have been more clarity around room service. We went back for an early night because we had a long drive the next day and the room had a room service menu but they weren't serving that night. If we had realised we would have eaten in a restaurant. Other than that an absolutely perfect stay that we will certainly repeat.

This is an old building which, in its day, must have been important and owned by a rich family. It benefits from free parking (provided you arrive early enough). The receptionist was friendly and informative. Our room was on the back of the hotel overlooking a redundant church and uninviting view but was quiet which we needed after a long drive. It was quite large with unusual décor but perfectly clean. Breakfast was taken in the basement and was perfectly adequate. Do not expect an 'anonymous chain hotel'.
