Ótimo custo benefício.

Nice little guest house. Central but not noisy at night. Nice hot shower in the room, decent thick bedding and a heater. Nice continental breakfast. Man was a bit funny about insisting we put our dirty breakfast dishes in the sink like we were children at home but don't let that put you off! Apart from that everything was very nice.

L'hotel si trova in una zona abbastanza centrale, appena fuori la zona pedonale con molti negozi e servizi e vicina alla metropolitana. La colazione è semplice, nulla di particolare, ma va bene. Unico appunto l'impossibilità di pagare con bancomat o carte di credito, sono accettati solo i contanti.

von außen war das Hotel nicht wirklich zu erkennen.Aber innen war das Hotel beeidruckend.

This bed n breakfast is cute and very Portugese. Querky. We love it. In the quiter end of the bustling shopping street of Santa Catarina Porto. Short walk to river and main sites. Friendly staff. Breakfast is continental and sets you up til afternoon. Very good value for money. We stayed for five nights in room for four people. The room was split by partition wall, two beds in each bit which helped with privacy and space for our teenagers which was nice surprise as we thought it would be more cramped.

Hotel Pedra Antigua is about a 15 minute walk from the San Bento train station. If you are coming from Lisbon you have to change trains at Campagna to Sao Bento, which in included in your ticket. The walk is slightly uphill but doable. Steep stairs greet you as there is no lift. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, some with limited English. My wife liked the room which was like a cave with old stone walls, but new fittings. However internal walls are not very sound proof, we had some noise. Not a major drama and the beds are clean and comfortable. Not much room for luggage, but it is a good price, close to town and the breakfast had rolls, meat, cheese, pastries, eggs and cereal. Overall, a quirky budget hotel, great to come back to after a day out. They will also store your luggage if you go on a two day Douro river cruise (recommended, see review).

Das Hotel ist - wie so viele Hotels in Porto - "in die Jahre" gekommen. Man sollte dies unbedingt berücksichtigen und das vor allem auch vor dem Hintergrund des Preises. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und höflich. Die Lage ist wirklich noch sehr gut, da man sogar zu Fuß den Duro und den alten Teil Portos gut erreichen kann. Das Hotel liegt am oberen Ende einer der besten Einkaufsstraßen (Fußgängerzone) Portos. Das Frühstücksbüffett wird von einem älteren Herrn in einem sehr kleinen Raum "betreut". Gelegentlich kann es mal zu 10 Minuten Wartezeit kommen, wenn alle Plätze besetzt sind. Das Frühstück ist schlicht und einfach: Kaffee, Tee, Brötchen, Käse, Wurst, Butter und etwas Süßes, wie es die Portugiesen bevorzugen. Wem das nicht gefällt, der kann ohne Weiteres bergab viele Cafes aufsuchen - vielleicht sogar das Art Deco Cafe "Majestic". Unser Zimmer im obersten Stock: Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und muss dringendst renoviert werden. Wir haben die schwarzen Flecken an der Decke als Schimmel wahrgenommen, sind uns aber nicht sicher ... Kofferschleppen durch enges Treppenhaus - wer einen schweren Koffer packte, ist selber Schuld ... Nachts wegen des Straßenlärms bei offenem Fenster schlafen geht nicht - ist es zu, dann ist es kein Problem.
