Hotel Octave

We arrived late 10:00 pm and was waited by a hotel representative after the luggage pickup. The transfer to the hotel was smooth - jump in mid size boat for 15 minutes; on the other side a car was waiting for us (10 minutes drive to the hotel). Check-in was quick and staff very friendly. We were upgraded to a bigger room for free - nice gesture but we were there just for few hours of sleep. Hotel bed is comfortable. The room was generous in with a separate living areas and a kitchen fully equipped. The bathroom was very clean and functional. Breakfast was limited (2 options - cereals or scramble eggs with sausage and toast, butter, jam etc. The transfer next morning to the seaplane was very quick and efficient as well. The hotel liaised with the resort to synchronize the seaplane flight. On the airport island the hotel representative took us to the sea plane check in (it was all smooth - we did not have to worry about a thing - very efficient again) Highly recommend the hotel if you have to sleep in Male and look after efficient transfers. Make sure you tip the staff - they are great.

A great little island. The room could have been better, e.g. the sheets were a little wet. Little things made the stay memorable, e.g. the swing by the beach.

Just nice

There is pick up from the hotel from the international airport. Staffs are nice and helpful. Free hotel-car pick up from the pier at Male is also included. You can probably see all the streetcapes during the ride. Though it is at most a 3-star hotel, not bad to stay with before heading to the resort.

We stayed here for one night on our way to coco palm dhuni kolhu as we got in from Singapore at 1030 and a had a sea plane out in the morning at 0930. The room rate included the transfer by water taxi to and from the land taxi and a small breakfast which saved a bit of stress trying to find our way there. The room was small but as there are 150000 people living on a island that is only 1.5 miles long I don't think any room would be to big. The bathroom was very compact but was clean. After seeing other places on the way to the hotel I think it would definatly be better than them and would stay again but only as a stop over in male.

Very welcome reception, including meeting in the airport, attentive and helpful staff in the hotel. The room is Ok, nothing special but fine for an overnight stay. Only negative thing is the noise from outside - room windows has no sound insulation at all! Ant the street is, even being truly narrow, extremely noisy.

This hotel is located right in Male. It is surrounded by a warren of narrow streets that can be very confusing, but the staff proved to be most helpful. Most appreciated was the pick-up from the airport and my delivery back to it which saved me a lot of stress. The in-house restaurant is pleasant and reasonable in price, the rooms are not luxurious but comfortable enough..

we arrived late at 10.40pm at the Male airport. the hotel staff is waiting for us outside immigration gate and travelling to the hotel was a breeze, in Maldives style. I.e. boat ride, then 5 min car ride to hotel. Staff all are very friendly and welcoming. the breakfast included feels homecooked and well done. only drawback is the bed is too soft and uncomfortable if you don't like soft beds.

Located in the central area of Male. The transfers to and from the MLE international airport are all handled by the hotel staff which proved to be quite nice after a long flight. They met us as we exited customs, assisted to the ferry, picked up as we left the ferry and driven to hotel. Very simple and all included in room rate. Hotel was exceptionally clean. This hotel is located within the city and offers walking distance to restaurants, shopping, national museum, fish market etc. It is not insulated from what is going on in the city as some other locations. Lots of great photography possible from this location in this incredibly colorful city. Great choice.
