Hotel Octave

We stayed at this hotel prior to transfer to another resort. Transfers to and from Male airport were included in price, which was not apparent at booking, but nice. Greeted at airport, escorted to public ferry, greeted in Male, and taxi to hotel. The hotel is very comfortable, air conditioner worked, - good three star hotel. Staff were helpful, but communication, although in English, not quite there, resulting in multiple communications. Price was good, though.

We stayed here for one night following a late arrival flight. The transfers were smooth, including both to/from the airport. They had my details for the seaplane sorted too and we had no issues with connecting. Breakfast & room were simple, but fit for purpose.

Good hotel with decent accommodation facilities within Male city. Hospitable staff who cater to your needs immediately. The best was the Snorkeling and sand bank tour arrangement made for visitors.

Stuff are friendly, no tips but the services are still good, as a short stay at this hotel , it is already perfect

Stayed here for one night while trying to make last minute resort plans in the Maldives. The hotel isn't super cheap (though maybe all hotels in Male are similarly priced), but the staff was very professional and helpful, even giving me extended use of the front desk phone to make my next reservation. Everything turned out fine.

As agreed, picked up at the Airport Terminal, escorted to the Ferry, picked up on Male Island and driven to the Hotel. We just hit the bed and slept a full 8 hours! Breakfast was simple enough, then we were driven back to the ferry terminal and delivered to our Departure Flight desk. All good, the hotel, staff & support did exactly what was required!!

Hotel Octave is a good place for an overnight stay only before proceeding to your resort destination in Maldives. The room was very clean and spacious enough for couples but not for those travelling with kids. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. The only downside was that the location of this hotel/surrounding neighborhood was a bit scary. Streets going to the hotel are more like alleys filled with parked motorcycles. Though they say this is the typical scene of Male city.Still it's very cramped and scary and you'll only see mostly men. I'm just not sure if safe enough for a group of "just women" travelling. Also, people are very helpful, speaks english quite well but doesn't have the warmth you'll feel like in other asian countries.

The staff arecgreat, helpful and very friendly, no complaints at the hotel, room or staff Only minor grumble was the limited breakfast choice but lost of options near if the hotel does not grab your fancy Will use again if in Male

Good value

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Octave for one night as we arrived late at night. The next morning we travelled to our resort. I was a little nervous catching the ferry to Male and not knowing where we were going but the staff were extremely helpful, punctual and friendly. When we arrived we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and directed to our room which was comfortable for our one night and very clean. The staff arranged the transfer back to the airport in the morning which was well organised. The hotel staff and transfer drivers added to our experience by providing us with some facts about Male pointing out important landmarks.
