Hotel Victoria

Location, ambience and authenticity cannot be beaten for a Hotel, if you value them for their services.

Some rooms can be loud, depending on what is going on across the river (to the hotel’s rear).

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful decor and a very spacious bedroom. A wonderful breakfast. And super central for seeing the city.

El edificio funciona en una casona colonial muy bonita, las habitaciones tienen muebles maravillosos, una tina de baño y lindos detalles como una bandeja con cositas para picar en el escritorio, un chocolate en la cama, botellas de agua pura y vasos, ventilador, toallas atadas con lazitos, inclusive unos tapones para los oídos que no tuve necesidad de usar. Te reciben con una copita de una deliciosa bebida de flores. El restaurante tiene una bonita vista y hay un lindo jardín en la parte posterior del hotel. El personal es muy amable y le hacen sentir cuidado y bien atendido.

Lo único que no me gustó es que la única señal del televisor era Direct TV que cada vez es más parecido a la televisión normal por la cantidad de propagandas, Hubiera agradecido mucho más un acceso a Youtube.

La ubicación es excelente, la amabilidad y atención de todo el personal es 10/10, el desayuno muy completo, la habitación muy cómoda, en definitiva es un lugar para volver.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Victoria during our mother/daughter trip to Cuenca. The hotel feels like a beautiful old Victorian-style home full of charm, warmth, and character while still feeling elegant and comfortable. My mom’s room had stunning floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Tomebamba River, and we both kept saying how peaceful and beautiful it felt there. The location was perfect — quiet enough for a great night’s sleep, but still walkable to restaurants, cafes, and the historic center. The staff truly made the experience special. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. The restaurant was also fantastic — high-end feel, excellent service, incredible food, and a cute little bar that became one of our favorite spots to unwind. Overall, we felt incredibly comfortable here and would absolutely stay again. A beautiful hotel with heart.

One small thing to note: some of the interior rooms don’t get a lot of airflow. The hotel does provide fans, which helped, but on especially hot days that could matter for some travelers.
