We thought the property was adorable and fun! The front desk staff were very friendly, and my children loved their work uniforms. The restaurant was cute, convenient and reasonably priced. A real train went right by the parking lot approximately 6 times while we were there for our one night stay (Sunday into a Monday) and my kids loved to run over to see it. It was snowing but the room stayed warm and cozy. The petting zoo donkey and llamas were fun to feed and the gift shop had a change machine for their food vending machine.

We thought we had booked a train car all to ourselves. We do wish that the online reservations would have said that we were sharing a train car. We were in a long one (I believe the baggage car) that actually is split in half by a wall. There was a family on the other side with children and we unfortunately could easily hear them in the morning- they were ready to party in the morning, a little earlier than we had hoped. The store had higher prices, but it was still fun to walk around and look at everything.

The staff was friendly. Train ride was close and good.

The food was bland, I even tried breakfast the next morning and it wasn’t good. Didn’t expect food to taste like that.
