The Croft Hotel

We did not go as both of us were not well.Had to cancel our 7 day trip to Scotland as well.We are also booked in to stay at the Croft on the 9th October,so we have lost that one to.

Was a comfortable stay. Only downside was that we arrived at 8.45 pm and we missed the restaurant. Had to drive back into the town for a takeaway.

Everything about the stay was fine with the exception of the road noise in the room. The actual room itself was very good but the traffic noise means I would need to reconsider whether I will stay there again. The main road is like a race track at times and the front facing rooms are extremely noisy especially as there is no double glazing however I would expect the rear facing ones to be a lot better. The hotel itself is lovely with very pleasant staff.

Would have preferred buffet style breakfast everything else very good

We were unable to have the windows open despite the heat, due to there being no handles on the window to stop them opening fully or blowing wildly in the wind.

Pretty good overall. Room with 2 single beds clean and tidy but furniture arrangement needs thought. Single chair behind bathroom door had to be moved as it meant door to bathroom would not fully open otherwise. This led to having to squeeze past door and frame of TV stuck out (wife banged her head) . Once we moved the chair it was fine. Otherwise fine. A good stopover and would recommend. Great breakfast, unusually waiter took order which was fine but perhaps a tick sheet might have helped them select items on breakfast. Staff all very nice and friendly.

The hotel was very nice, it appeared to be recently decorated / modernised. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the food was good and reasonably price. I was particularly please with the size of my room, there was a separate settee and 2 chairs with coffee table and additionally a dressing table / desk. fantastic shower in the bathroom with waterfall head and separate detachable one.

Well ive got to say ive stayed here a few timeez before its a beautiful place but as most places that do weddings theey never can cope first nigght it was excellent when the wedding party turned up you could see the staff were running about unable to cope especially at breakfast rime so my sdvice is ring up first and enquire if there is a weeding on overall it didnt spoil our stay it just tainted it a bit however i would stay again as the food is first class if a llittle limited on the evening menu .

Great staff, very kind and informative, spacious room, bathroom was perfect and very large, everything about this hotel was an attraction to me, the staff were kind, the room was very clean, up to date interior and the view was pleasant. The gym was perfect, small, but as no one goes in it was big enough for me.

A nice hotel a bit noisy with traffic passing by in the morning.
