Kimball Terrace Inn

They had free coffee and water available at all times in the lobby and a wonderful restaurant next door to the inn. The gift shop was a hit with goodies from Acadia and the island.

There was only one elevator for the entire two story sprawling facility so there was quite a hike to our room at one end of the building. Also, the outside lights for that end of the building were out so it was pretty dark getting to our room. Finally, the beds were very firm - a little too much - and not as comfortable for our taste.

The view from our room was absolutely amazing. There was a restaurant attached and it was very good. We stayed there two nights to spend time in Acadia.

The closeness to Acadia national park and all of the famous trails

A bit pricey, but it was worth it.

Others had posted that the noise from adjoining rooms was unpleasant. We could hear people talking (low volume) nothing that was terribly bothersome. Most people are quiet relatively early as most are getting up early to enjoy Acadia and surrounding areas. Our room was nicely updated and very clean. No coffee in the room, but is available in the lobby. Front desk staff friendly and welcoming.
