Hotel Green Plaza Hakone

A comfortable bed and spacious room. Dinner was reasonable.

The bed was a bit low, and the tatami chairs were not comfortable, not easy to get in and out for seniors. There were not many power points to charge our devices.

I liked the breakfast and the dinner. I have gluten allergy, which means, I couldn't eat everything of the buffet. But it was very nice that all the allergens were mentioned.

Better coffee if possible 😄

Het eten van het buffet was goed, vooral de japanse gerechten bij het avondeten.

Massaliteit, enigszins verwacht maar toch. Het gebouw en de voorzieningen beginnen op leeftijd te komen, de glans is er vanaf.

Flot og enestående udsigt til Mount Fuji. Rolig beliggenhed, med meget kort afstand til kabelbanen.

Hele hotellet var meget slidt. Værelset i japansk stil var hyggeligt, men helt tydeligt indrettet i måske 1970-erne, og bar i hvert fald preg af slid tilsvarende mange års brug uden vedligehold. Maden var delvis ok, men mindede om kantinemad. Spisesalen havde kantinepræg, og var ikke hyggelig. Man fik ikke porcelænsservice, men plastiktallerkener elle værre: plastikbakker med inddelte rum, som man ser i et amerikansk fængsel. Vi synes ikke prisen stod i stil med hvad man fik.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Hakone Springs. Our room had a private onsen and we enjoyed a clear view of Mount Fuji in the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and breakfast buffets, which offered a wide variety of exciting dishes. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The instructions to get to the property were confusing. We initially walked along the main road from the ropeway, which took eight minutes. The next time we used the three-minute woodland shortcut from the ropeway and it was fine. A clearer description before arrival would have been helpful. We usually took the hotel shuttle to the ropeway and then walked back. The staff were really lovely about it and didn’t mind dropping us off. There is a number you can call to be picked up if required too.

the location and view, without question is breathtaking

the food and the cost. Generally for such pricing, you get good quality Japanese kaiseki meal but you get buffet here which is ok. The spread is good but the same cannot be say of the quality, presentation and also the varieties if you are staying for more than a day. Generally you will see almost nearly same buffet every night and morning if you happened to be staying for more than 1 day. The hotel is very dated and time for a refresh.

Location was amazing and staff was exceptional and so helpful! Dinner was also really good - so much variety so there’s something for everyone. I would definitely stay here again. There’s also such a great view off Mt Fuji!

they have central air so our room was really hot and they were renovating our building during our stay, but that’s the only thing
