Langdale Boutique Hotel by Amaya

We had a truly wonderful stay. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and extremely friendly. You can tell they are all well trained—it really shows as a guest. The rooms are very clean, beautifully equipped, and spacious. You can swim in the lovely heated pool, play tennis, badminton, or even mini golf. The food was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful and very delicious. We would love to come back if we travel to Sri Lanka again. Highly recommended!

Amazing location with splendid view on the tea fields. Very calm and confortable stay. The staff is very professional and caring. Rooms are nicely arranged and provide everything needed. Breakfast is amazing. We highly recommend.

Very quiet and nice hotel with excellent staff. Great food and drink selection too. Away from the crowds. Very scenic location.

Very nice time

What an amazing hotel. We were treated like royalty; the staff were so kind and friendly. It was Sri Lankan New Year when we stayed and the hotel hosted some fun party games for the guests on the lawn. We were made to feel so welcome. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The view from our balcony was incredible. The food was delicious - the chef even went out of his way to prepare a special curry for me. The grounds are beautiful and there is a short walk directly into the tea plantations from the hotel.

Very peaceful and quiet. Staff are so friendly. Anuj behind the reception was so accommodation and exceptionally helpful.

A beautiful place with stunning views! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We visited with our baby, and the staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The restaurant and food were excellent. Highly recommended!

Hotel has a nice garden & views of the tea plantations - but is badly managed & is not in good condition internally. E.g. Tired bathrooms, holes in the towels & bathrobes, dead flowers for 2 days in room & also on breakfast table (see photo). Tennis rackets with broken strings Cleaning of rooms not very thorough. Soup served at restaurant table with cling film still on from microwave! Bar is dark & gloomy - with bean bags for seating on the floor (see photo). Although at altitude - the bedrooms have no air conditioning & are very hot & stuffy. One of the 2 rooms we booked for our family was very unpleasant and smelt strongly of drains & kitchen smells. The receptionist was unhelpful & uncooperative resolving this issue. It was a lot of trouble changing the room the next day. Overall a very disappointing hotel & poor value for money.
