We visited the Royal Brayka Beach resort end of Nov to first week of Dec 2025. We had a Deluxe room block 8, 1st floor and the view of the sea bay, immaculate gardens and pier were incredible. The rooms were large and comfortable, with a kettles/tea and coffee facilites, a fridge and bottled water provided daily. Abanoub our cleaner was excellent in every way, the room was spotless, he took great pride in his work and was so very genuine, with amazing towel art to make us ooh ahh and laugh. The resort was large, with 3 pools, the Mega pool, that comprised of 3 smaller pools, including kids pool, an acitivity pool with slides and a swimming pool, there was also a heated pool, and main pool. Note pools very cold to swim in this time of year, sea was warmer. The hotel was very quiet and chilled, no one fought or rushed out for sunbeds by the pools or beach, unlike the sister hotel Brayka, which was rammed and everyday by 8 on our walk the beds were all reserved. ( Lovely accessible walks theough both hotels). The resort gardens were beautiful, with teams working on them daily which showed. Beautiful birds all around, Kestrels, herons, egrets, sea eagles. The staff in the main were super friendly and helpful. Hamdy our waiter was so very professional and attentive, but more importantly genuinely nice and made time to have real chats, sadly he was so good they moved him to Views restaurant (special dining, free booking, set menu food was delicious). Unfortunatley the waiter who took over ignored us, never got us evening drinks, until the last night/day and then wanted to be friends for the tips! The restaurant food was lovely, Ahmed and morning egg chefs were great. Food was mostly chicken and fish with cooking stations for Pasta and bbq or specials. The house reef is spectacular, unlike other resorts because its a carved out inlet/bay the reef is very safe and well managed the 2 life guards on the pier were very helpful, caring and knowledgeable, ensuring to protect the reef. The plethora of fish and varieties were incredible, best we have seen compared to Hurghada and makadi bay. I also had 5 massages at the wellness centre and Naama on reception was very kind and helpful. I had Fathy as my masseuse for turkish bath and massages and he was incredible, very professional, superb masseuse ( I have had plenty to know) his technique and awareness of where you needed help and the heat he generated in his hands was healing. My neck issues have been greatly improved. Thank you. Overall this is a super hotel, is it the best? no, but if you offset this with the Reef, staff, very relaxed, peaceful, restorative atmosphere, that I desperatley needed, I would definitley return. Thank you Fathy, Abanoub, Hamdy and Naama you are a credit to the hotel.
