"Don't check in late, everything else is either hit or miss"

6.0

This review has been written considering both positive & negative experience of our stay. Check In: To start from the worst, we paid extra for x2 sea view rooms for our group of x3 adults. We had a late check in planned plus our flight was delayed, so we ended up arriving very late at night (next day morning?), between 2-3 am. We have been informed there are no 2 separate rooms available due to electricity issues in our block and that there is no other choice for tonight than to stay in a family room. It was not convincing for none of us that the issues have started at around our supposedly check in time the day before and I still believe they have double booked our rooms. There was a long argument with the reception staff, a manager (who didn't speak English) & holiday operator over the phone, none of it helped at all. It was nearly 5 am by the time we gave up due to been extremely tired and have agreed on what was given to us. The family room was rather a converted shop with almost no privacy inside and from the outside. Luckily, next day we have been given what we paid for and these rooms were good, sea view was amazing and we have received some complimentary stuff. Rooms: Sea view is worth extra money. Rooms are generally looking good with quite fresh refurbishing and stylish design. On the other side, there was no shampoo, we had to use the shower gel instead. Staff: Very random, as some were very polite and friendly while the others seemed clearly not much bothered, especially at the bar next to a water park. Alexandra, the reception senior staff, was extremely helpful and have answered all our basic questions that we did not have a chance to ask during our check in. Cleaning: Although it does say they change the towels every 3 days, we had to chase a cleaning lady to simply do some basics including emptying the bins as there were 2-3 days nobody came to our room at all. Food & drinks: The desserts were a true highlight, although I am not a fan of that stuff generally, I must say they were high quality and tasted like properly home made ones. Pasta by the sea bar was delicious, I had it a few times. The food in canteen was hit or miss, on most days it was alright but I felt very sick on one day and I am sure it is something to do with the food from the main kitchen. Cocktails quality very much depended on a bartender, it was a lot better at the beach bar. Beer was not the best but okay, wine was not drinkable at all. Animation: The ones we chose to go to were good, although the announcements were very late, sometimes just a few hours before the actual start. Pools & swimming: Choices for everyone. The further from the main reception, the better vibe you get. 1st pool next to the rides, lots of people with children. 2nd pool is further, nicely decorated and quiet but with no proper bar. 3rd seawater pool, in my opinion the best and the furthest. There is a pier by the sea with some sunbeds, for the ones who prefers swimming in the sea. Location: Slightly isolated but not in a middle of nowhere. There is a Soho Bazaar market within just 10 min walk. They mostly sell the designer fakes although you can find lovely souvenirs, homemade Turkish delights and nice silver jewellery. Side town is considerably close. Overall, apart from our very unpleasant check in, there is still too much depends on how lucky you are.

"Great resort for young children"

8.0

The people around the hotel can’t do enough for you. The rooms are clean and the cleaners are all Thai so are very very efficient. However the WiFi ( I know I’m on holiday) is nonexistent we have two teenage girls who both have boyfriends at home 😞, it didn’t bother me. My girls are 13 & 16 this resort isn’t for their age group, but younger children were having the time of their lives which was nice to see. I don’t think they have many English speaking families here as 99.9% of the entertainment we couldn’t understand,so just sort of sat there why everyone who could be bothered to turn up where clapping and cheering. We didn’t have a bad holiday but it could have been better for the girls. That’s our mistake not the resorts. If Yiu like your food then you will enjoy it here, although as always some nations are not very polite and where pushing my girls out the way to get the last of something. You have to put your towels on the deck chairs about a week early to beat one of the obvious nations to them. Thank you to the staff who through a difficult job always smiled and said hello.

"Avoid club aqua plaza at all costs"

2.0

I recently went to Turkey with my boyfriend and stayed at this hotel, it’s safe to say we were both extremely disappointed. The bed in our room was dirty, some of the towels were still dirty and the balcony door couldn’t be locked leading us to feel unsafe as we were on the first floor. The hotel staff couldn’t communicate with us as none of them spoke any English. To add to this, some of the staff in the food area made me feel very uncomfortable. Constant staring at me isn’t pleasant when trying to enjoy a meal. The WiFi that the hotel says they have doesn’t work at all causing us to have to buy passes for the country which was an unexpected extra cost. If you’re allergic to cats don’t go to the hotel as cats roam around especially during meal times, there were also tons of flies on the food. I wouldn’t ever go back to this hotel and I certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here

"5 star more like 3 star at best"

6.0

The hotel is spotless clean and pools are amazing as are the waterslides and the staff and the alcohol. These are all plus sides but then minus sides weigh this hotel down HEAVILY. As a supposedly 5 star this hotel the family entertainment starts at 9pm after kids show and finishes at 9.30pm and was either acrobats, dancers or some cheesy show done by staff to fill a gap, such as me aqua plaza and Mrs aqua plaza, the pool bar then shuts at 10pm whether you have queued for 15 mins or not. The food is very nice but very repetitive and breakfast there is very little choice unless you want continental. Room service is good. The location also is a big minus point as there is nothing local apart from a bazaar so you have to remain in hotel or get a taxi somewhere. The dining room floor is extremely wet and also the alacarte restraint does not exist although sign posted. Close to good pebble beach and close to sea hence why the score of 3/5 has been given if not for pools and staff this score could have been considerably lower

"We Had A Great Time!"

8.0

Me and my friend came for 8 nights all inclusive. The hotel is lovely, we really liked the quiet pool and the newly built pool area and bar. It is so nice. What is also good is that we never had to “fight for sunbeds” there was always some free. The snack bars were great, especially the one by the quiet pool, it is almost like a restaurant; you pick something off the menu and they cook it, such as spaghetti bolognaise. The main restaurant is your standard all inclusive, my only complaint was the food was quite oily. You can also get ice cream from the main snack bars all day till 10pm which was great. The rooms are lovely we had a nice view to the quiet pool. It had everything you need in it and they put bottles of water in the fridge for you regularly. The drinks on all inclusive are great and the waiters will deliver drinks to you at the pool. The entertainment at night is quite good and different each night they’d have dancers, competitions, bingo and disco. They also did activities throughout the day like yoga, darts and foam parties. Then sunset party in the evening with the DJ. There is plenty to do for children as well like the water park and kids club. The entertainment workers were great, Enes and Hakim especially we made good friends with them. The sunsets on the beach are lovely too. Our favourite place in the hotel was the garden area, they have it all lit up at night and looks lovely. If the transfer time puts you off I wouldn’t let it because it’s probably took half the time it says from Antalya airport. The WiFi works well everywhere but just not that well in the room however, if you stand on the balcony it does work. We are missing being there already and would come back. I’d ignore the bad reviews as we were worried before we came but had the best time. The staff are very helpful and all lovely. Hope to come again one day! Also if your stuff falls off the balcony the workers can help get it back as my Wigan Football Shirt did and the house keeping man got it back haha!

"So Disappointed - PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK"

2.0

We've just returned from a week at this hotel. I feel that I have to write this review as I wouldn't like anyone to make the same mistake as we did. We booked here with Easyjet as we felt it had a good balance of things for adults and children. Myself, my husband and my 3 sons aged 17, 13 and 5. When we first arrived, I was underwhelmed by the appearance because it looked a bit like a 80's block of social housing flats, but once we got in, the lobby was more modern so I ignored my initial feelings and proceeded to check in. Check in was pretty seamless and the young man that checked us in was polite and professional. We were shown to our room by a young man who brought our luggage up. I tipped him for this and then he left us to it. I had a look around the room and was once again underwhelmed...Then I went into the bathroom 💔 it was grotesque and dysfunctional. First of all, it stinks of raw sewage, the shower gives you intermittent hot water and the door on the shower doesn't close properly which means that the floor ends up soaked (thankfully they gave is 4 towels which were only fit ro clean the floor). The water flies straight out of the sink when you switch the tap on and in our shower cubicle there was a brown lump stuck to the wall which I am 100000% sure was excrement. Due to me having ocd, I travelled with a massive bottle of dettol and a pack of vinyl gloves, so I was able to scrub this myself so that it was safe for me and my family to use. By the 2nd night, we realised that the plug sockets in our half of the room were not working when we tried to charge our phones. I informed reception and someone came up within half an hour to look into this. The technician told us that it was because our plug were both faulty, they were not faulty as they worked fine in the other half of our room. He then proceeded to lift up a poor wall covering to reveal exposed wires and fiddled with them to attempt to make it work. He said he would be back in 10 minutes to try something else. We're now back in the UK and he never came back so we had to charge 4 phones, a tablet and a kindle in 2 sockets in our children's half of the adjoining room using 2 plugs. Very difficult when the power goes off while you're not in the room. We also woke up to no power at all throughout the whole room on 2 separate mornings. The Food... I've never known anything like it. It was the worst experience of my life. Every single one of us got ill, whether that was sickness, diarrhea or both, we ALL got ill. The food is trash, not authentic Turkish food, not quality produce and one of the worst aspects of this holiday. To be clear, we are not a fussy family, we love to try new, different foods and embrace all cultures. There was nothing nice about any of the food and anything that you do try will 99% of the time have been sat on by at least 20 flies. There is not a single bug zapper in sight and you will compete with flies at each meal time. This is to be expected outside, but inside it is completely unacceptable. The dining area itself is slack and dilapidated. Hygiene is POOR, although you see staff constantly wiping the tables, please pay attention to them and you will see that they NEVER have a spray bottle in their hands and they use NO detergent or cleaning products on those cloths at all. They're essentially just wiping dirt from one table to another. We decided to sit in the outside dining area. My son kept on saying that the food he was eating seemed wet. I thought he meant the melon so didn't pay it much mind. Until he was eating bread and said the same thing. When I looked, I noticed his plate was wet, I looked to see where this had come from and realised that dirty water from the roof had been leaking onto the food that my son was eating. He was violently sick for 48 hours after this and I had to take him to see the pharmacist who gave us medication to help replace the fluids that he had lost due to this. The whole roof is fool of holes and spots of tape where they have clearly tried to patch it up because of this. I also noticed on the way out that the area was laden with buckets catching water from these leaky bits. I also recorded this water leaking on to my sons food so it cannot be denied. As many other reviews have stated, there are cats throughout the dining area and despite several signs that clearly state NOT to feed them, we witnessed other guests feeding them under the tables. I am a dog owner and my personal preference is not to have animals of any kind around me at dinner time, but I believe this is down to personal preference so cannot hold it against the hotel. After that terrible experience, I remembered that some of the literature the young man gave to us when we checked in said that there was an a la carte restaurant on site for an additional fee. I thought it would be safer to go there to avoid anymore issues. I hadn't noticed a restaurant anywhere within the grounds, so went to ask at reception where I could find it. The man at reception looked at me like I was an idiot and said "There is no a la carte restaurant, we don't have one for a long time now" I had given up by this point. We took a taxi up the road to Palm Restaurant for the loveliest food that we had the whole time. There we ate for the rest of our stay. Every Turkish person that we encountered whether they were members of staff or just local people, were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, they were so welcoming, polite and gracious and apart from the weather, they were the best thing about the holiday. They did their country proud and I would go back to Turkey 5000 times a year if I could. Unfortunately the other guests at the hotel were not all Turkish. For context, I am a black woman of Jamaican heritage and my husband is Irish, we have 3 mixed race children. This is important for families like mine to note because it is not pleasant at all. We literally had people coming and standing and staring at us with mouths open wide because of the colour of our skin, not in a friendly way, they looked at us with utter disdain and repulsion and this was ALL DAY, EVEEY SINGLE DAY. We were the only black/mixed race family until the 6th day of our holiday and it was absolutely horrendous for us to experience this. I do not know what nationality these people were, but please note this was not an isolated incident, this was not one person or one family, this was happening with different people every single day. This is NOT the hotels fault AT ALL, but others need to be aware as it's such an unpleasant experience. All in all, although Turkey is fantastic, this hotel is poor and I wouldn't ever return. I'm currently going back and forth with Easyjet over this because I can't understand why they have a place like this on their site. It makes no sense.

The water games are nice but very old.

The hotel all in all is very old and in a miserable condition. There was no internet connection in the hotel. I could barely connect and was disconnected most of the time. No telephone in the rooms. Beds were terribly bad. The beach is not sand , but stone. We could not enjoy our stay and complete consider that i lost the amount of money spent there. Please do not recommend it to any family.
