IEGBStella Maris provided the peace and quietness I was hoping for. I was welcomed on arrival by the owner Rolf and shown to a beautiful, comfortable room overlooking the bay. Breakfast - not the ‘one size fits all’ option that is so general - was cooked to order and tasted so fresh. The option to have dinner seemed to depend on the number of guests staying but was of an equally high standard. Great shower, great location and owner always available when needed.
Given the dearth of cafes / restaurants in Ballycastle - the nearest village - more certainty about a dinner option would have been appreciated. I stayed for 5 nights. Dinner was offered on 3 of those nights and, while the food served Honewas of a very high standard, the menu was the same every night.
