NZAmazing views from the conservatory. Rolf and the team were very attentive and friendly. The facilities were great and the optional platter we were offered when we arrived fitted the bill as a light evening meal. We would definitely stay here again and recommend Stella Maris to our friends.

USThe breakfast was first rate, made to order and as they like to say in Ireland "prefect". Rolf had some marmalades on the table and I commented about how good they were. He explained how they came from Annie's Bakery in town and how he procures as much as he can from local supplies and farmers. We stopped at Annie's on our way out of town and purchased three jars of marmalade as well as some yummy pastries. Annie was a lovely lady who was welcoming and a joy to chat with. This is what I loved most about out experiences, meeting people and contributing to their local economy. Upon check-in I had a very unusual request, an 'above and beyond' request and Rolf didn't skip a beat in making sure my request was taken care of. Our room was clean, quite with a lovely window facing the bay. While my wife and I were reading in our room we could here cow's and sheep in the background, really tranquil and nice. This place is special and Rolf makes it extra special. My wife and I wished we had time to spend more days and if ever given the chance we will no doubt come back.

Food, there was none, dinner needs booked 3 days in advance, who knows what they want to eat 3 days later!! Upon arrival the door was locked, despite using the door knocker I walked all round the place until the door was eventually opened. No beer on tap, no dinner, Breakfast wasn’t served until 8:30 which was to late as I was touring so left Gravel parking so not ideal for motorbikes Over priced
