"Avoid apartment 14"

4.0

We turned up not expecting much but have not been impressed. Our room in pretty dark and only has two small windows to let in any light in but we decided we would just turn all lights on and give it a chance. However when we came to cook dinner on the hob and it doesn’t get nearly warm enough to cook anything. We spoke to the owner who doesn’t speak enough English to understand properly. The shower is below average and if you don’t have the air con ( which is charged for ) as it’s in the roof it gets ridiculously hot like a sauna. The pool area outside it nice but you can’t get drinks from the bar because there is never anybody to serve you. This is made worse by the fact your not supposed to bring your own drinks down to the pool. Overall I will not be comming here again, I cannot speak for the other apartments which seemed nicer however I would not recommend staying here again.

"Villa Yannis "

8.0

We stayed for 10 nights towards the end of August. Family run apartment complex. The apartment decor was typically Greek, as you would expect. We stayed in apt number 5 which had two separate bedrooms, two separate balconies, bathroom and small kitchen/dining area. Fridge and two ring hob (which we didn't use). The maid service was a bit hit and miss, bed linen changed once during our 10 night stay, towels more frequently. Air conditioning was €14 per night. The pool was very clean, quiet, bar area was open sometimes, we were asked politely not to take our own drinks down to the pool area. We didn't eat at Villa Yannis, apart from a pizza by the pool one day, which was lovely. There is a supermarket close by and one called Joy's in Dassia. I organised an online shop to arrive the day after we arrived (free delivery if you spend more than €25). There were 4 restaurants nearby and we ate in all of them. Very reasonably priced and good quality food. We didn't have a bad meal anywhere, we ate in 60 Needles, Taverna Limeri, Joys and Panorama (which cost between €50-60 for four including wine/beer/soft drinks). We hired a car for 5 days, but wished we hired it for longer as the hill down into Dassia was a killer walking back up! Unfortunately our flight was leaving at 2300 and there was nowhere to shower on our last day. We hired an apartment in Dassia for €30 and spent the day in Malibu Beach, which was lovely. We did get bitten by mosquitos despite using insect repellent, plug ins and spraying the room each evening! We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed really good greek food.

"Lovely place"

8.0

We just had 10 nights in 2 bed apt (executive suite) which was lovely and spacious. Balcony in every room. Very nice sitting out on balcony of an evening. Pool was lovely and there is a pool side bar however not open very often but I can understand as some days we were the only people round pool as a lot of visitors have hire cars and are out exploring, but it would be good to at least have maybe a cold drink vending machine. Eleni the owner was lovely she arranged a taxi to take us to/from airport and also arranged our boat trip to paxos. Kato Korakiana is a small village which consists of a mini market a cafe/bar and a restaurant which are all good. There is a bus service running to Corfu town certain times throughout day. Dassia is a long walk downhill so can be difficult walking back up in heat. Lovely villas in quiet location, great if you have hire car. Only suggestion, toasters in room would be helpful. Thanks

"Great pool"

8.0

Stayed in a ground floor apartment (No 13 on the end which meant we had extra room outside though the bedroom doors were next to the car park). Lots of space with a bedroom, kitchen/lounge area with third bed & bathroom with a shower over a bath - luxury (& it was always hot). The pool was lovely although most of it was very deep but the shallow area is clearly marked. You can only get a drink at the poolside bar if you can find the owner - or if her young son is around (when not at school or playing football outside our apartment). These apartments are located in a village above Dassia and buses are only every two hours or so unless you walk down the hill (about 15 mins) where the buses are more regular (approx every 20 mins). The mosquitoes are pretty bad at night - try to get a fly spray for the rooms or citronella is another recommendation.

"Corfu visit"

10.0

We booked the hotel based on other reviews and had no idea what to expect. The villa is situated in a small village away from the main town up a long steep road, not easy to walk so would suggest a hire car. The owner of the villa is very nice and helpful and speaks very good English and is very happy to help with car hire, taxis etc. The villa is a fantastic hidden gem ideal for a quiet break, we visited early April and had the place to ourselves... Breakfast is random and basic but again the owner was more than happy to make something for you. In the village there are 2 bars .. and a short walk down the road there is a 3rd called panorama.. beautiful place, fantastic views. If your looking for piece and quiet and something romantic this is perfect.. there is a beautiful pool and plenty of seating etc.. not somewhere for kids as there is no entertainment etc. Busses are easy to get but ideally a car is best to explore the island.. I would recommend this place every time.. Remember this is Greece, and if you want 5* luxury.. look somewhere else.. this is very clean, very beautifully kept but not everyone's cup of tea.

"Wonderful place to stay"

10.0

Villa Yannis is really lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it is situated in a beautiful area with bars and tavernas within walking distance and a bus into Corfu town in the village. There is a fabulous swimming pool which is very clean and spacious and you can walk to the beach at Dassia too. Villa Yannis has a great bar and does a lovely breakfast. The owners Sebastian and Eleni are very friendly and helpful and everyone who works there will make sure you have everything you need. Sebastian waited up for us to arrive at about 23.00 hours and made sure we had a kettle to boil water for tea. Lovely people, lovely place. Go and stay there you wont be disappointed. It's great

"First time in Corfu"

8.0

We found Villa Yannis via the internet. It was our first time in Corfu so didn't really know what to expect. When we arrived, we was a bit unsure on what we had booked. We was welcomed by the lovely owners and got showed to our room. The room was lovely but as it was self catering the kitchen was pretty basic so we didn't use it. The location was nice and quiet with it been away from main roads etc which we liked with it been a 15 minute walk down to the beach..downhill was fine, coming back up was a struggle in the heat. They had a decent sized swimming pool and decent sunbeds to relax on. Great family run place. The only real issue I had with our stay was that it was advertised with air con but in fact we had to pay for it which cost us €70 for the 10 nights. Maybe that needs considering into the price if your looking to book hotels in the area.

"Summer holiday "

8.0

Myself and my partner recently visited for a cheap week away, the villa wasn't initially easy to find however we managed. We arrived late at night and where pleased to be greeted at reception by the owner who upgraded our room to a 2 bed appt which we where very pleased with. Room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony and cooking facilities, we had to pay for air con which we had not been aware of at the time of booking. The pool was lovely and clean with ample sun beds and a nice bar. However the bar wasn't open on many occasions which was disappointing, it also stated online there would be weekly evening entertainment which didn't happen. We ate breakfast twice at €7 pp which was simple but enjoyable. The owners are very friendly and the villa is situated in a quiet peaceful location, however was up a steep hill. We walked to dassia beach most days which was a long strenuous walk in the heat, however worthwhile as the beach was beautiful. The villa is surround by a handful of lovely taverna's and a supermarket. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.
