Al Moudira Hotel

Our stay at Al Moudira in Luxor was absolutely stunning from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, with huge individually designed rooms full of character and charm. The facilities were fantastic, and there was so much to experience within the hotel itself. We loved wandering around the farmyard seeing all the animals, watching the ladies crafting, and even trying pottery, which made the stay feel really unique and authentic. We ate at two of the three restaurants, The Farm Kitchen and the internal courtyard restaurant, and both were incredible in completely different ways. Each had its own atmosphere and vibe, which made staying in the hotel during the evenings such a lovely experience. Everything about Al Moudira felt thoughtful, relaxing, and special. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor.

Ahmed bey muhteşem bir şekilde bizi karşıladı ve odamızı aile suitine upgrade etti. Sabah erken saatlerdeki uçuşumuz nedeniyle hotele check-in saatinden saatler evvel varmıştık ancak bizi bekletmeden aldılar. Tesis harika, kendimi daha çok Fas'ta gibi hissettim; maalesef çok kısa kalmak üzere gitmiştik, hoteli görünce keşke daha fazla kalacak vaktimiz olsaydı dedik. İçeride çocuklar için minik bir çiftlik alanı, çeşit çeşit hayvanlar var. Hotel üzerinden kendimize bir tur rehberi ayarlayarak Luxor'u onunla gezdik. Omar da oldukça bilgili biriydi ve özellikle çocuklarımın ilgisini çekecek şekilde anlatmaya özen gösterdi. Ayrıca Al Moudira'nın yelkenlisiyle Nil'de gezindik ve teknedeki arkadaşlar da çocuklarımızın keyfi için ellerinden geleni yaptılar. Hotelde dış mekanda sinekler biraz keyif kaçırıcı; ancak onu da düşünüp odanıza doğal, çok hoş kokan bir sprey bırakmışlar ve yemek esnasında da fanlarla onları mümkün mertebe sizden uzak tutmak için ellerinden geleni yapmışlar. Ayrıca avlulardaki havuzlardaki su sesleri ve kuş cıvıltıları kesinlikle ruh sağlığınıza iyi gelecek. Orada sadece durmak bile çok büyük bir lükstü bence. Yine gitsem, yine orada kalmak isterim.

Havuzu çok keyifli görünüyor, ancak ısıtmalı olduğu belirtildiği halde su epeyce soğuktu. Oğlum yine de dayanamayıp yüzdü. Malesef kızımın mayosunu unutmuştuk; etrafta şehrin kendisinde de eksik kalan eşyanızı tamamlayabileceğiniz pek bir şey yok. Bu kısmı pek de hotelle alakalı bir sorun sayılmaz. Yine de dükkanlarında her yaşa/bedene uygun mayo bulundursalar fena olmazmış. Orada yüzememek kızımı gerçekten üzdü.

My stay at Al Moudira Hotel was nothing short of magical. The architecture alone deserves a destination journey. Every courtyard, fountain, dome, archway, and hidden garden feels like stepping into a timeless oriental palace. The property has been designed with extraordinary attention to detail, blending Egyptian, Ottoman, and Moorish influences into an atmosphere that is both grand and deeply intimate. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever experienced. What truly elevates Al Moudira, however, is the warmth of its people. The staff manage to combine genuine Egyptian hospitality with the standards of a world-class luxury hotel. Every interaction felt personal, generous, and heartfelt. From the restaurant teams to housekeeping, reception, and the gardeners quietly caring for the grounds, everyone contributes to an atmosphere of calm and kindness that makes you immediately feel at home. The culinary experience is exceptional and, quite honestly, among the best I have had anywhere in Egypt. Every restaurant on the property has its own character, yet all share the same commitment to freshness, authenticity, and quality. The Egyptian cuisine is outstanding, the ingredients taste alive, and the farm-to-table concept at the Moudira Farm Kitchen located on the adjacent farm is executed beautifully. Dining at the Farm Kitchen, surrounded by greenery and lanterns under the stars, was unforgettable. One of the most remarkable aspects of Al Moudira is its farm. The hotel’s own farm supplies vegetables, dairy products, herbs, honey, and meats directly to the kitchens, creating a rare connection between land and table. Visiting the farm and seeing the animals, gardens, and workshops adds an entirely different dimension to the stay. It reflects a philosophy of authenticity, sustainability, and craftsmanship that is becoming increasingly rare in hospitality today. Above all, Al Moudira feels like a true oasis. WE loved the spacious room, the pool area and the amazing pizza at the poolside restaurant. The other restaurants were very good as well. The staff are helpful and they are many of them to do your bidding. The farm is interesting and is was wonderful to realize much of what is served in the restaurants comes from the surrounding gardens and animal pens.

Better wine list is needed!
