Setting - the grounds are lovely - and so peaceful

Garden room was a bit like a chalet - cold and unwelcoming - we moved into main house - much nicer

Excellant food. Lovely, helpful staff. Accommodation was within walking distance of hotel.

It’s easy to see how this was a spectacular hotel back in the day. The main hotel has a very historic look to it and the grounds are spectacular- right on a beautiful river. It’s lovely to walk around the property!

It’s unfortunate that the hotel is not being kept up well. It’s looking frayed and unkempt. While the breakfast is awesome, we had dinner there and the food was great but the service was not. We waited a long time for our drinks ordered first. After a few requests, they finally came after our main meal was served. The bedroom was hot and the window only opened a little bit - no a/c which is okay, but then don’t put blockages so you cannot open the window.

The room was lovely and had great views. It also had a huge bathroom. The breakfasts and dinner were equally as good.

We have had a fab stay at Ballathie House! We stayed in the riverside location which was dog friendly and perfect for us! As we brought our wee dog along, we had dinner in the bar. We’re were expertly assisted by Martin and Keegan! They were friendly and professional and made our bar dining experience very comfortable and enjoyable. The grounds are also really beautiful with a view across the river directly from our window as well as our own patio and second door which leads onto a well maintained lawn area. The cottage style garden area was also beautiful and a welcome stop whilst the rain passed. All in all a lovely stay and we will happily return in the future!

Het fantastische diner en de omgeving

Wij kregen niet de kamer die wij geboekt hadden met een waardeloze uitleg van de manager die alleen booking de schuld gaf. Slechte kamer met overlast van de ontluchting van de keukens. Afvoerputje verstopt en uitzicht op de parkeerplaats. Een ontzettende teleurstelling voor veel geld.

I loved the location. A peaceful rural setting on the river The staff was always helpful with information and always striving to make sure every experience was excellent. I m curious to find out how the renovation goes. I hope the cozy lodge atmosphere is kept .
