Tanglewood Gardens is now getting quite old and tired and needs an upgrade or rebuild.

The bed was awful, left us aching for first half of each day. The lounge was solid as a rock. Foxtel didn't work so we tried DVDs on a wet day. But the player didn't work. We had a great spa one day but that was the only time it worked. Very disappointed.

We preferred to sleep in the car, that's how bad it was. If you want to sleep in a health hazard, go ahead but this hotel is nothing like to pictures. Lingering mold smell, dead bugs IN THE BED, stained sheets, a folded towel on entrance. What more could you want, right?

Nice property, individual huts situated in the forest. Slight damp smell but this is due to being situated in the forest. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends

Got suckered in by the beautiful photos on the internet. Room was ok and clean but the grounds and amenities were a bit un kept. On a 32 degree day all we needed was a swim but the pool area was somewhat a let down. I tried to skim the pool of leaves but the head of the pool skimmer fell off!! Was a bit of a laugh more like something like going to Wally World with the Griswolds!!!!

Well, where to start? Montville is a lovely place, with the exception that you do not stay at tanglewood gardens. Myself and family booked a cabin here just recently and from images viewed and the price tag of $240 per night, we were expecting a relaxing night away from home!! Wrong, wrong, wrong!! Our cabin was open when we arrived, with fans on and i suppose thats what you do to rid the smell of urine (by the way, it didn't work). Next, toilet stop, but hold your breath because it stunk of human faeces and there was a layer of dust all throughout the room, topped off with spiders and webs everywhere. I quickly checked wotif for another motel, though sadly everywhere was booked. So, we thought make the best of a bad situation and lets go for a spa. Not likely, unless you want to catch something. Maybe a sauna, but no, only one element worked on heater and we didn't have half a day to sauna. Back to our disgusting room and i'd had enough (by the way, i do not usually complain about anything) so i went to reception and informed them of how i was not impressed with the standard of cleanliness, the tired state of the so called resort and facilities. I was met with a lady who played pass the buck and blamed the new cleaner and also informed me that she would be letting the new cleaner go because of this - how unproffessional!!!! After a bit more discussion, it was blatantly obvious that she did not care for what i had to say and that they just take your money and run.

It was okay for the price. But the beds were so uncomfortable I wouldn't want to go back again.

We were really disappointed with the quality of room. 'Granny Flat' definitely is a Granny Flat. Smelt of sewerage most of our stay. The shower would not pass building certification. Needs a lot of improvements made!

Had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

It would have been great when it was first built, not much upkeep or improvements done since then. Has great potential though.
