Rue un peu bruyante, il y a un bar juste en face qui heureusement ne ferme pas trop tard

I've been traveling extensively for over 10 years for both business and personal reasons across North and South America as well as Europe. I've never felt compelled to write a review before — but this time, I’m making an exception. The place I stayed at is listed as a three-star hotel on Hotels.com, but in reality, it doesn’t even come close. At best, it’s a budget stopover for a high school group trying to save money on a field trip. Realistically, it deserves one star at most — and that’s being generous. Here’s why: It is not a hotel. It’s essentially two cramped rooms with a couple of beds, a kitchenette, and a bathroom squeezed in. The space was dark and poorly ventilated, though to be fair, there was working air conditioning. The furnishings and equipment were a mismatched collection of old furniture and appliances. It felt more like someone’s forgotten basement than any form of hospitality business. The photos on Hotels.com were not representative of the unit I stayed in. I suspect they are a curated collection of the best angles from various units the owner manages — but not the one I got. The check-in process was unprofessional and uncomfortable. I was asked to send a photo of my passport via WhatsApp, followed by a request for a tourist tax payment to be sent through services like Wise or PayPal.
