The hotel is well designed with spacious rooms, particularly comfortable beds and a good bathroom. The decor is very attractive with some outstanding features. The pool is clean and well maintained

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. We paid extra to have a balcony which was pleasant to sit out on. But then the loud music with a deep beat started. While it was on it was very disturbing, disrupting concentration. We were told this was normal on Saturday and Sundays and it would go off at 7:30 p.m. The management did get the music turned down to some extent for us, which we appreciated. On Saturday the music actually went off before 7.30 as everybody had gone home. However, regrettably, on Sunday evening it was not turned off at 7.30 as we had been assured. Apparently someone was having a party and it continued until about 10 p.m. The dining room was not as well organized as we had hoped. The breakfast buffet was good but we ordered our evening meal ahead of time, as suggested by staff. We were told it would be ready by 7:00 p.m. We went down at 7 and it still took 25 minutes to appear. The following evening they offered to let us know when it was ready, but we had to ring to be told, oh yes the food is ready. In two rooms the latch to secure the balcony door was broken. The safe in our room didn't work as there were no batteries for the lock.

Large clean rooms. Reception and restaurant staff great.

No towels for pool at weekend. Taking sauna is made into minor ordeal by ‘pool’ staff. Building work close to room ie drilling etc through day. Hotel keeps live fish in tank. Unfortunately saw two die and though they cleaned the tank, colleagues and the manager admitted they never gave any environmental enrichment at all, despite it being very cheap and easy to add real plants, suitable substrate for floor etc - so why keep those poor fish? And despite there being an aquatic shop in Kampala willing to help.

The staff was very kind and always helpful.
