The Dunvegan Hotel

Fun spot from which to experience St. Andrew’s. Great staff. Comfortable, clean room. Only cautions are that parking is a couple blocks away and there is no elevator, so luggage must be carried up the narrow stairs to the 2nd floor. Would stay here again.

I would give the Dunvegan a 6 star if I could. The staff are the single most friendliest and helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure to interact with. Loved the bar and the staff there. Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. The room staff was awesome. Breakfast was a treat. Our rooms were exactly as I envisioned with a hotel of this age. So cozy and charming. I would stay here every chance I get.

Comfortable rooms. Especially with larger beds. Could have larger TVs. Great location and friendly staff.

This is an older hotel and when you first check in rooms seem old. However they were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous and we found the restaurant/pub the best in the evening. It was packed full of golfers and locals, who made you feel at home. The hotel is within walking distance Erin the bus station and to all of the local attractions.

I went with my wife this afternoon, The staff were lovely and very inviting. Drinks were good but the food was an absolute embarrassment. I’d make better with a blind fold on. However, The front of house staff did agree to remove it from the bill.

We had a lovely one night stay. Very spacious, comfortable and stylish room with a new bathroom and yummy shortbread with tea and coffee. A fantastic lively pub downstairs, the pictures are great for golf fans and the meals were delicious!

Disappointing experience. Prices are just unreal, charged £3 for a can of coke. Appreciate that times are challenging and that costs have increased, but please. When enquiring the response was Icy and aggressive/defensive and I only asked what the price of a Guinness and a coke was. (£10 in total). Clearly is a destination spot for tourists, and clearly busy, but a reasonable price and friendly service would go down well. Avoid.

The Dunvegan is a great spot just around the corner from the Old Course first tee. Staff are great, food is good, the bar is hopping and the rooms are comfortable, renvovated and a well priced. Well done!
