The Dunvegan Hotel

Iconic golfers pub in St Andrews with great atmosphere. Only 3 stars because of overpriced, average food. £17 for the worst steak pie I've probably ever had in a pub and when asked for coffee was told they only did black with milk on the side !! Come on, you can do better than that ..Overheard a few American visitors in the room very underwhelmed also ..Never used to be such a tourist trap that its obviously become ..👎

Three of us were in St.Andrews for a golf trip and prior to arriving we heard that the Dunvegan was a must do as a place to eat, drink and talk golf as it sits 100 yards from the 18th hole of the Old Course. We frequented it many times, once for drinks and the next to eat and watch the Scottish Open and the Euro soccer championship. The vibe is super with a high energy feel and the service was fantastic. The walls are filled with pictures of the greatest golfers in history who have visited the Dunvegan. When we ate we had the fish and chips which was excellent. When in St. Andrews it’s the place to be.

We was there to play golf at St Andrews so location perfect, but a bit expensive, but then we are paying for location and the golfing history of the hotel, but service etc was excellent.

This is a sweet little inn with loads of golf history. Right next to the links and jammed with photos of the greats. The bathroom was newly remodeled and the decor was super cute.

Great legendary golfers hotels. Nice bar and restaurant. lLots of history. Close to St. Andrews and shops. No onsite car park so there is a long walk from a lot at St. Andrews medical school.

This property is one city block from hole 1 / hole 18 of the Old Couse @ St. Andrews. Our first night we had dinner at the pub and every morning they serve a delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful.
