Mont du Lac Resort

Some amenities provided by facilities offering accommodations are taken for granted (by me, at least). Communication about lack of an indoor bathroom and running water would have been appreciated. It likely wouldn’t have changed our decision to stay here, but we shouldn’t have had to wait until entering the cabin to find out that the expected facilities were absent.

BEWARE WHAT YOU BOOK!! We spent big bucks for one night here last weekend, October 14th. To our shock this cabin had NO WATER. NO SINK. NO MIRRORS. NO BATHROOM. NO WINDOW SHADES. NO PRIVACY whatsoever. These "Slope Side Cabins" are primitive log cabins that are very well constructed, but lack basic needs. They all have a "shared bathroom" which is actually a separate building UP A HILL from where our cabin was. And even that has NO TOWELS. You can take a shower if you make the effort to get there but NO TOWELS, Really?? These should not even be allowed on this site. The rest of the property was awesome, but we felt like hobos and it sucked horribly. No refund offered. The staff said that we "should have read the fine print". We looked back and nowhere did it say no bathroom in the room. It only said no towels and I did miss that. Seriously who would book this knowing what we know now? Horrible experience...beware.

Great venue for fall. We had three families come together for a great time.

The room and the view were amazing but the staff and hospitality were subpar

Communication was poor. Staff was abrupt and not very helpful. No instructions for checkout and no key drop.Our checkin was interrupted by another staff person and both people stopped to have a conversation (about a paper sign for pretzels on sale) and left us waiting. Rather expensive price for poor customer service.

Nice sized cabin. We got the Slopeside Single Cabin. The main thing is knowing what you are signing up for. I had read another review suggesting bringing extra blankets, and that is a must.

Nice and clean. Don't forget to bring water, towels and an extra blanket and pillows if you stay in a cabin without a bathroom.

This property was clean and the grounds are beautiful. The out house was a bit dirty.

We were impressed by the property. Our cabin was wonderful. I area was quiet and clean.
