Hai Dang Homestay

Really accommodating and helpful lady who runs this place! We were able to extend our stay, book coconut boats and onward travel through this homestay, it was easy to do. Location is great, about 10/15 minute walk from the centre of the old town, right on the river front with many places to eat nearby. I liked the location is good but not too busy and there are nice views out the back.

Family members are really good. They let us check in before the time. Shared bathroom is large, water pressure and water temperature are really good. Simple breakfasts are served, bread and sunny side eggs, or banana pancakes and milk coffee or tea. They ask you coffee or tea but if you want black coffee, you should tell them “black” one in advance.

I booked a room with one bed, but bigger room with two beds were provided. That was ok but they told us not to use one of them, in addition, there was no furniture at all like a table and shelves. Can’t put luggage anywhere but floor. That was really inconvenience. Private bathroom is narrow and smells awful, there was trash of previous guest. No blanket. The fridge is making noise all the time. It didn’t let me sleep. A puppy they have is so energetic and wants guests to play with him (or her?). He scratched and bit my legs, of course softly. But my leg had a really tiny cut. The owner said he got a shot of rabies vaccine last week but they don’t have a certification of it. I trust what she said but I had to get a shot of rabies at hospital just in case because of a lack of the proof. It was a painful expense. The puppy can come upstairs as well. When I went to shared bathroom in the middle of the night, he came running towards me and tried to come into our room. That was terrifying.

The location was not far from the city centre. The room was clean. The owner got tickets for our next destination, she was very friendly.

No furniture in the room, just a small table. No soap in the shared bathroom.

A little noisy at times (two of our three nights we were woken up at 7am because of it) but no big deal

The family are so generous and kind. They invited me to dinner many times, the food is delicious 😋. I felt so welcome and taken care of. I stayed for a month, they even changed breakfast each day so I didnt get bored! The location is great on the river, and room great value for money. I will be back! Thank you so much

Maybe the shared bathroom was not cleaned frequently

The owners were really nice. The location was amazing and we enjoyed the breakfast. We fell in love with the cute little puppy.

We paid extra and had a terrible stay. The host came unannounced into our room in the middle of the night which made us feel very uncomfortable. We asked several times for a key. Rooms are not like on the pictures. Bed was extremely hard. Breakfast was very a roll and eggs every morning. The family was sweet but couldn’t get over the yelling at night and coming into our room while we were sleeping.
