Hostal Phaxsi

The incredible view from my room. The staff, especially Teresa and Silvia were very accommodating and kind-they responded to every request I had and even some that I didn’t make-for example Teresa washed my clothes for me when I was fully expecting to do that for myself. The hot water in the shower and the heater provided were perfect for the chilly weather.

Clean and uncluttered and a perfect view out to the harbour. We were able to rest and relax Lovely breakfast, pleasant staff.

It would be nice to have a hairdryer but to be fair they probably had one if I’d asked.

We chose this hotel because it is next to the main ferry port and you do not have to carry your luggage up the "Inca steps". We had a room overlooking the port, on the second floor, with a large terrace. It exceeded our expectations, both the room and the view. Room, bed and bathroom were large and comfy. There was a heater available but we did not use it. Bed had blankets and duvets so we were OK. Terrace is nice and sunny most of the day with comfy deck chairs. Breakfast was excellent, served on the main terrace. Owners spoke only Spanish, but were very nice and helpful. They served us a nice pizza at evening, so we did not have to climb up again to the village to reach the nearest open restaurant. We stayed only one night but wished we stayed longer. We strongly recommend this place.
