"Excellent"

8.0

The Marion room was spacious and very comfortable. The room and hall bathroom were spotless. Patrick, the owner, was gracious and gave me a tour of the kitchen and dining room. We were able to walk to the Hawthorne Hotel where we were attending a wedding. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and fun town to visit

We positively felt transported back in time. The tour of the home with ViJay is a must as it really set the stage for a impeccable experience The home is beautiful, clean and welcoming. It was our favorite accommodation on our Eastern adventure.

"A Gem"

10.0

This is the Inn on which will set the standard by which all others are judged. Magnificent stay, felt transported in time. Vijays home history tour was entrancing. His passion for the property is beyond compare. The Great Room was huge, had a great soaking tub and the bed was a dream.

"Tour guide was phenomenal!"

10.0

My friend and I did the "Inside the Daniels House" tour. Our tour guide, Vijay, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was easily the best tour guide we had during our trip to Salem. He was a wonderful storyteller and you could tell he was interested in the information he was sharing, even after a full day of tours. Also loved how while this house was not technically a museum, it still was decorated with period typical items, including actual items from the house's our past. Also due to this, we were able to touch the decor and even sit at the table. They also provided period-typical teas and Vijay invited us to try each one if we wanted and carry our cup of tea around as we toured the house. At the end of the tour, Vijay even sat down with us and talked for even longer about Salem, it's history, local perspectives of the witch trials and the tourism it brings, and he even gave us recommendations of what to visit next. This tour was a perfect example of the fact that even if you have the perfect location, artifacts, and history, it's really the tour guide that makes the experience excellent!

Love the feeling of how you walk into the house and your automatically transfered back in time and get to have a perspective of how a house in those times would be. The location is perfect and close to everything making the perfect stay.

Everything was perfect.

"Loved our stay "

We loved the Marion room!! My partner and I are not tall people so the low ceiling did not bother us in the least… Bed was comfortable and the (shared) bathroom was spotless

"Exceptional"

10.0

Lovely old property in one of the older parts of Salem. Immaculately restored and sympathetically decorated as a historical building. As with all old buildings the floors creak and groan and sound proofing is unmodernised. But heaps of charm, great location, just 5 minutes from the harbour and 12 minutes from downtown by foot.

"Daniels House - Salem"

10.0

Very cool place to stay! Room was just as described online. We did get confused on whether we had to share our 2nd floor bathroom (but No, it was all ours!) Bed was so super comfy. Plenty of room including small fridge, microwave, large bathroom. I will say our Great Room shower was a little tricky (water pressure & temperature were great!) but we struggled showering and not getting the floor wet. Just a heads up for anyone (like myself) that is used to noise while sleeping - Bring a Fan!! It’s very quiet (until you hear your neighbors moving around/coming in and out) But that comes along with the age of this beautiful home! Owners are wonderful & accommodating. Breakfast was simple but awesome! The area/neighborhood around was very pretty & peaceful. We walked everywhere. Really enjoyed our 2 days here!
