Daniels House Inn

Daniels house was amazing, rich in history, and it was beautiful inside and out. If I return to Salem, I would definitely go back to and you need longer than 1 night. The house was exceptionally clean and smelt so good interiors tastefully decorated. The owners were also lovely people and very keen to keep the historical factor of the house.

Magnificent stay, felt transported in time. Daniels Inn is perfect for your stay in Salem. The instructions that Patrick sent to let ourselves into the building were very clear and easy. Location was great.

The only thing I didn't like was the shared bathroom- I didn't realise that I could pick a room. I was allocated the Marion Room (which was beautiful) but would much prefer our own bathroom.

I booked Daniel’s House as it is the oldest inn in Salem but also because they offered free breakfast each morning so I thought that would save us money. It cost nearly £200 per night and the bed was very comfortable, the room was big and both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The only think that let it down for us was the breakfast. The bread and muffins were under a plastic lidded container but were left out all the time, and I found it all to be dry and slightly hard and even after toasting I just couldn’t eat it. Coffee was good and there was fruit and cereal bars, but comparing to other places to stay in Salem, I don’t think this was worth the £200 per night seeing as we then had to buy breakfast each morning at one of the local eateries. The location was great but they also charge a $10 baggage hold which ruined our plans for the day we left as we thought $30 to hold 3 bags was crazy, I’ve never had to pay for baggage storage before whether we’ve stayed in hotels or B+Bs so we didn’t and that meant we couldn’t visit one of the attractions that we’d planned to

Loved Daniel's House! We stayed in the east india room anf the decor is beautiful. It feels like you are stepping back in time! Check in and check out was simple and convenient and the beds were comfortable and clean.

I love The Daniels House in Salem and was thrilled to see that they had extended their offering to include the Silsbee. Beautifully refurbished but still feeling every minute of its history, this 'new' building is just gorgeous. I was very lucky to be able to get in for a one night stay and my only regret it is that it was just that. I arrived quite late on a rainy evening but easily followed the instructions in the Guest App to know where to park and let myself into the building and my room, the Rajah. Sitting under the old beams, the free standing tub in the bedroom was lovely to see but the bathroom won my heart! Stunning and pristine with a fantastic walk-in shower. With everything you could want in a room: fridge, microwave, iron & board, hairdryer and TV; it was the four-poster king bed – with locally made mattress – and amazing pillows that made for a truly comfortable night. To my delight, you go into the Inn for a well-provisioned continental breakfast. Everything you could want to start your day, including artisanal teas made especially for the Inn. After breakfast it was a short stroll into downtown Salem to reacquaint myself with this lovely town. Patrick and Adele are exceptional innkeepers and I can't wait to return!

Daniels House was a unique experience. Walkable and safe to All the sights. Highly recommend.

Great stay at Daniels House! I would recommend as it’s super convenient and walkable to most everything in Salem. They did provide parking pass which was awesome as parking in Salem is non-existent and wouldn’t recommend driving. Only negative was that the key pad at front door was a bit tricky and other patrons weren’t closing it properly so it was left open Overnight.
