On first appearance the apartment was very nice . Nice view of the canal

The shower was volcanic hot and broken no cold option we had to run all the taps to use all the hot water to be able to use the shower without scalding ourselves. Only one cereal bowl for a suite for two people made breakfast Interesting. It’s not a proper bed it’s a one that you fold down from a wall that you have to crawl out the bottom because not enough room to get out of the side of it. It rained on the last morning knocked the television out so had no signal to watch tv . I did email the letting agent re the shower who sent a plumber round but we were out at my daughters graduation and that felt uncomfortable having someone in the apartment with all my belongings in it and a stranger in without us present . The shower was not completely fixed still no cold water but temp wasn’t skin stripping hot. Really really disappointed with the stay. Initial excitement on arrival but soon turned to disappointment. Nice view from the window watching the geese . Would not recommend.

Perfect little place to sleep and put your feet up whilst in York, The city is literally at your doorstep.

Nice apartment. Clean and tidy. Access by car was difficult due to roadworks. Diversion arrows took us round York and back to where we started. SatNav was no use as the alternative route involved a temporary change of direction on a one way street. Appreciate that this is not the apartment management's fault but directions to the new way in would have been handy. Location was great. York is fairly compact and easy to walk around to all of the sites of interest. Good quality food places and pubs especially Fossgate. We used Morrisons car park booked via Your Parking Space. Short walk to the apartment and not too difficult to negotiate the roadworks. Seemed as safe as any car park and good value.

Overall very good stay. Comfortable, well presented. Superb location, 5 minute walk to city centre. Some dirty stains on carpets prevent 5 star for cleanliness.

Personal opinion but if you aren’t used to animal noise at night I’d advise earplugs as there were a lot of geese honking all night right ohtskde the window (though it was lovely to literally be right by the river!).

Location.

Couldn’t get in had to call the host to let us in. The number pad never worked so we had to keep the look off the door so we could get back in and risk all belongings to be left in the apartment. Although we could have call the host again but we wasn’t there to keep constantly calling the host ! We were there for a break ! Travel cot wasn’t ready we had to look for it ourselves and put it up. Which was fine but when I called the host, she told me someone was in there putting the travel cot up. And wasn’t true. The utensils was awful. You could tell they hadn’t been clean and had dust on them that looked like weeks old ! was disgusting. So me and my husband had to clean everywhere in the kitchen area before using. We boil hot water on the stove because the kettle was disgusting. The location was fantastic looking over the river. Although was very very noisy with the geese and ducks and I will say all night long you could hear them and it was very very loud. Just a note for it to say luxury, I intend to have luxury and it was just a Basic apart. The luxury was the location.

The location was excellent- near the centre and supermarkets. It was clean and good to have coffee tea and milk. The view was amazing. I booked parking with Morrisons at the cost of 28 quid.Not far at all to go. Daisy was very helpful.

I didn’t find the bed very comfortable. I think it was a bit hot and stuffy- we found the heating rather complicated.
