Location was great that’s about it

Walls were so dirty and was tatty and dated. Hot pipe ran through the room so it was a sauna. Moved my pillow and moths flew out 🤢 such a shame and was over £100 a night. I’m not fussy but this was pretty bad almost left but couldn’t find another available hotel within 11 miles!

I thought the breakfast could have been better just wasnt a fan of it

When we arrived at the hotel, staff were lovely and welcoming and helped us to our room. The rooms looked clean however they need work doing (have uploaded photos as walls and ceiling had lots of water damage and cracks as well as the wood around the windowsill being squishy and soggy). We had two groups of us, us in room 202 had an okay night sleep. Our other group who stayed in room 209 woke up at 5am to bed bugs all over the bed and all over them. They went straight down to management but there was only a night porter working who explained no management would be in until 9am. The night porter was really lovely, got us cups of teas etc while we were waiting and explained he was sure the room hadn’t been used in a while so it was possibly to do with that. The manager arrived at 9am and we explained the problem, she offered us a new room but said she would have to raise the issue with her manager as well. We were told they would arrive at 11am, this then changed and she didn’t turn up until 12:30pm. When she called us into the room she said it was impossible for it to have bed bugs as there had been people staying in the room all of last week (this conflicted with the other story so we have no idea who was telling the truth) and was reluctant to believe us despite us having photos/videos of the bugs because we didn’t have any bites and they told us they’d checked the room and there was nothing there. We tried to explain that bed bug bites can take 1-14 days to appear but she said this was a lie. She then said she would speak to another more senior manager and get back to us. In the end they moved us room and have us a £75 refund but considering the overall stay cost us over £700 we found it to be very poor. Please be aware if you are staying here as we have reported the bed bugs but unfortunately we can’t be sure if they will take any action to get rid of them.

The staff was its best quality! Every person we spoke to was very friendly and extremely helpful. Reception staff, bar staff, waiters, even the room cleaners! The room was nice, we had a good view of the pier and the sea. The room had everything we needed apart from a hair dryer. The rest of the hotel was also nice. The food and drinks were lovely. They were average prices so not cheap but not too expensive. I would stay again but only because of the staff being so friendly and accommodating.

I think it could do with some maintenance as there was a plug socket in our room that was not fully connected to the wall. Also some areas that had slight damp or paint peeling. The room itself was clean, although there was some sort of powder on the sink by the taps which I had to clean off. The lift doors banged loudly which was a bit of a concern. Our room was right opposite the lift which was helpful for us however is got very noisy during the night as people were using the lift and the doors kept banging. Also people waiting for the lift right outside our room were talking and it was slightly annoying.

The hotel is in a convenient location and the staff were polite and helpful during my stay. Check-in was straightforward, and the room was clean on arrival. Good value for a short stay.One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent service from the female staff. The receptionist was very helpful and took the time to explain everything clearly. The lady at the bar was kind and welcoming, and the restaurant staff were also friendly and attentive. The garden seating area at the front was a lovely place to relax with a drink and some food, making it a pleasant spot to spend time.

The breakfast was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The cooked breakfast was poor in quality and choice, and the continental breakfast offered very limited options. The gentleman serving breakfast was unnecessarily loud, frequently walking around and talking to colleagues, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. He appeared more focused on conversations than on attending to guests. The bathroom and shower were extremely small and cramped. The facilities feel dated and would benefit from refurbishment and updating to improve guest comfort.
