Guesthouse Zink

L’hotel est proche du port et donc de toutes les lignes de bus, ce qui est pratique pour cette île. Les lits sont également confortables et donnent un certain aspect privé malgré des chambres de 8 personnes (rideaux sur les côtés de chaque lit).

Il y avait des puces de lit dans ma couette. Après avoir mis les jambes 5 minutes sous la couette, mes jambes étaient couvertes de piqûres, et mes habits bien évidemment contaminés. Après le leur avoir signalé, ils m’ont simplement changé la couette puis m’ont indiqué qu’il y avait une machine à laver à ma disposition. Ils m’ont cependant dit d’acheter de la lessive par moi-même. J’ai dû dormir dans ce même lit (et bien évidemment me faire piquer encore). Le lendemain, je leur demande de me changer de chambre, et l'on m’indique que ce n’est pas possible et que l’hôtel est plein. Je leur envoie un mail pour leur dire que c’est inacceptable, 5 minutes après, on me met dans une nouvelle chambre. Pas de compensation ouverte pour cette première nuit, ni pour les suites de celles-ci (avec des démangeaisons encore une semaine après, et après avoir dû laver l’entièreté de mes valises pour éviter de transporter des puces avec moi), alors même que j’ai réclamé celle-ci dans mon mail. Cette demande a simplement été ignorée.

バスは湯量ですが、シャワーは無料です。

シャワーとトイレが部屋になく、伺うまでは心配でしたが、とても綺麗で、気持ち良く過ごせました。 オーナーの奥様も気さくで色々教えていただき、良かったです。

We are a family of 3 staying one night in a room with private bathroom. The woman that checked us in was polite and helpful. She pointed out the nearest Family Mart where we got dinner and the next morning's breakfast. Since everything closes early near the port the 20 minute walk to Family Mart was the closest place to get food. She pointed out that there was a dining area and kitchen on the 3rd floor so we didn't have to eat in our room. Where they went above and beyond was after we checked out and had returned to Tokyo. It wasn't until that moment that our son realized he left his expensive CRT overnight contact lens in the room. We called the next morning and they had found it in the room. They shipped it to our hotel in Tokyo that day and it showed up the next evening. So thank you to the staff at Guesthouse Zink for helping us out.

The guesthouse is exactly what I needed for my trip! Cute and clean, close to the Sado ferry and the main bus stop, and they were able to communicate the rules and accommodations clearly even though there was a language barrier. I used their website (translated to English) to ask a question about my stay, and they responded very quickly!

Clean and well-presented, everything was quite new. I liked that there is a cafe and shop on the ground level, it made it quite a friendly place as the rest of Ryotsu was totally dead midweek in winter. t was only a short walk from the ferry. The staff was helpful. Ryotsu is regarded as just a port but I found it charming, I have a lovely day just walking around looking at the town and the beautiful scenery nearby. The sports shop near the harbour was the only place open for dinner but I had to get in before 18.00.

I was on my own in the dorm, it would have been very crowded if it was full as there was no floor-space for bags and only a small locker for each bed. The kitchen now has no equipment in it, you can't do anything except heat up food in the microwave and use the jug. There is not even a knife. I think they closed it during corona virus and never reopened it. It is quite disappointing for a hostel, as you expect to be able to prepare some simple food for yourself. There is also no food places open in the town in the evening and the 7-11 is a long walk away, so be prepared. Nobody offered me a towel, so I used a small one of my own.
