This was a wonderful hotel in the Condesa neighborhood. The staff was very friendly. There are 2 beautiful parks within a block or 2 of the hotel, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. An El Moro Churro shop is also nearby. The room was clean with comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower, and a hairdryer in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You have to buzz in at the gate to be let in every time you enter, but they were quick to respond and there was never a wait.

Parral 14 is a cozy, elegant little hotel in Condesa, close to parks, great restaurants, bikeshare stations and more. We have stayed here 3 times, each time in a different room and enjoyed ourselves every time. The staff is attentive and the breakfast is cooked to order and delicious.

"I really enjoyed this hotel"

10.0

It is a really nice hotel, located walking distance to most of Condesa. We were in the two bed room and it was a little cramped because of the two beds. In February, we asked for extra blankets for each bed and slept really comfy under the sheets and blankets. I suspect that, since heating is not available, this might not be a great hotel to book in the coldest months, especially if one has to get up during the night. The breakfast of eggs and chilaquiles was perfectly acceptable and the coffee was good (they buy from La Parroquia, and it wasn't the dark over roasted coffee that one can still find in Mexico, as opposed to the new specialty coffee places). Staff was great. There was a hiccup, one that i was content to pay for. I lost my key/card to the room and there was a $12 charge for the loss. But hey, they are a small hotel and probably have to pay for these cards at a small volume fee. It is possible that this would not be a good choice for people who are larger, carrying a lot of weight as, with our room, they might have trouble being comfortable moving around if they are somewhat obese. Like I said, the location was great, just around the corner from a favorite pizza place of mine, Nosferatu, and down on Mazatlan, the 40's era Roxy Neveria is walking distance, as are the two parks ( I took my wife on an orientation walk around calles Amsterdam, Laredo, etc. since this was her first visit to the area). And back to the hotel. A high point was the glorious hot shower. Would I stay here again? I honestly don't know. But I think that the answer is "yes". That is because, in the past, I've booked hotels in the $50-60 price range and I'm comfortable with those. We chose this one cause it is close to where our friend lives, whom we wanted to visit. Having said that, it is a pretty nice place to book for a night or two. Disliked · Well, the rooms aren't heated, and ours was cold in February. But it really wasn't a deal breaker as they provided thick blankets and we slept great.

This property gave out my number and I started getting suspicious threatening calls at 1 am telling me to beware.

Great location and clean. The wifi was a bit spotty for us and a fan would have helped cool off the room a lot. But the staff was friendly. We would stay again.

"Mixed review "

The staff were helpful and friendly to us and the beds were comfortable. However the check-in was difficult since there’s no sign or entrance. You have to call and be let in, which took us awhile to figure out. Plus no one spoke English. Secondly the people across the hall from us were very loud coming in at 5 am and partying, and the staff didn’t seem to have any enforcement of quiet hours. The neighborhood is quiet and safe however which is nice.

We had a great stay at Parral 14 for 3 nights. The front desk receptionist was really attentive and the rooms are big and comfortable. Location is perfect to walk around Condesa and Roma. My only two suggestions is to check if your room has air conditioning, ours didn’t and with Mexico’s City heat, it got uncomfortable for a couple of hours at night.
