Centre-Ville Guest House

Extremely comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast with choice of fruit, cheeses or beautifully cooked dishes, and the warmest welcome. Nothing was too much trouble! Situated on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from restaurants and excellent supermarkets, Centre Ville is a charming traditional house with a verandah. Plus secure parking.

The staff at breakfast are very friendly. The location is perfect.

The whole guesthouse is quite ageing, everything looks rundown, delapidated and partly disgusting. The room didn’t look as nice as on the pictures at all. The walls are so thin that we listened to the snoring of the guy next to us until we fall asleep deep enough to ignore. The water from the sink and shower is brown (and that wasn’t even the case in the public bathrooms there), the shower had mold at the whole ceiling. In the middle of the night the dew from the extremely bad insulated windows, which was built exactly above the bed, was dripping on our faces and the crank to open the windows was simply a wire with which it was a struggle to open any window. Even for that price we regarded it as a pain to stay there.

Schönes sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Guesthouse. Besonders gefallen hat uns das im Garten servierte Frühstück. Das Personal und die Inhaber waren nett und hilfsbereit.

Stylish and attention to detail! Our 2nd time here. No better place for a good night’s sleep after the wine tram! Cracking breakfast in the morning served by lovely staff in a beautiful garden setting.

Das CentreVille Guest House liegt sehr zentral in Franschhoek, die Gastgeber sind superlieb und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird teils als Buffet, teils auf Bestellung serviert. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit der sehr schönen Dachterrasse, die wir leider aufgrund des Wetters nicht nutzen konnten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist Wine Tram und es gibt sehr viele nette Lokale für das Abendessen in Franschhoek. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, ein längerer Aufenthalt ist aber durchaus vorstellbar.

Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen. Ggf. sind die Zimmer aufgrund der relativ niedrigen Deckenhöhe nicht für große Menschen geeignet. Wir sind beide 176 cm groß und haben uns nur jeweils einmal den Kopf gestoßen.
