Harana Surf Resort - Hostel

Alles - das Personal, das inkludierte Frühstück, die Lage in der Nähe von General Luna und dem Strand, die Party im Hostel, die Zimmer und die Leute, welche ich kennenlernen konnte.

Ein Whatsapp Chat mit den anderen Backpackern wäre toll. Oder gemeinsam organisierte Aktivitäten. Ich habe via Empfang das Island Hopping gebucht aber da waren eher ältere Leute/ Familien aus den Philippinen dabei und keine Jungen.

The vibe, the place, dorms are very spacious and comfortable, it was regularly clean, calm, and the breakfast included is very good ! I will come back if I come back to siargao ! Thank you

Harana is located in a stunning tropical setting with a lovely beach nearby. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, they are a real asset to the resort. The food was exceptional, I particularly enjoyed the bangus sisig. Our deluxe room was spacious and the Aircon was welcomed. Its located nearby to General Luna town. The resort and grounds are extremely well maintained.

You definitely need earplugs to sleep here due to very loud music from the surrounding bars. Fortunately we read the reviews beforehand and brought these so it wasn't an issue. I would also suggest that the resort provides additional hangers. We did not feel very safe in our transfer to the resort as the driver was frequently overtaking on blind corners and when there was oncoming traffic.

The whole resort was nicely decorated. True tropical experience. Sabado Nights was awesome even though there was a lot of rain. The book of Siargao and Harana history was a nice touch in the room.

Showers had really bad pressure, almost like dripping. The beds were a bit firm for me. I also didn't like that you don't have an option of queen sized bed, only two double bads joined together. The restaurant staff was a bit slow. Sometimes you get the food first and then drinks.

The people, the facilities, the vibe, everything

Staff was in general really nice, always smily and they do remember guests names every day! The hostel is right on the beach and there is a party organised every Saturday which gets very busy! Few minutes by scooter to cloud 9 and about 10 to town area. I was in the communal room and was quite big and kept clean. Very nice breakfast choice and meals in general, even tho I found the prices a bit too high and you get charged for every single tiny extra...

I had a big issue with the tour company they associate with and while i understand the hostel does not organise the tours directly, i did pay the hotel for the tour and I only dealt with them for it. The staff somehow tried to help, but only because i got really annjoyed. Needless to say i was never refunded and atvthe end i felt they didn't really care. I think such a place should be more careful who they work with and be more responsive/understanding to their customers issues. In general I found the additional services a bit too pricey for what they are, compared to services outside.

Schönes Zimer mit Balkon und super Frühstück. Tolle Lage mit direktem Strandzugang und man ist mit einem Motorrad in wenigen Minuten in General Luna. Wir haben einen dreitägigen Surfkurs gemacht, der wirklich super war. Als Gast bekommt man 15% Rabatt.

Auf dem Balkon sowie im Zimmer gibt es Sitzflächen, es sind aber leider keien Sitzkissen vorhanden, was das ganze etwas ungemütlich macht. Beim Frühstück könnte es mehr vegetarische Optionen geben.
