We struggled to find fault with this hotel, from the friendly greeting and booking in, to the checking out, we could find no reason to complain, which is rare these days. The location is perfect, the lift down to street level is an added bonus. The air conditioning throughout was welcomed especially with outside temperatures in the mid 20's outside. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and spotless (we chose basic twin rooms.) The bedding and pillows were first class. Special mention to the duty manager who scooped my friend off the floor when he fell over drunk and accompanied him to his room.

Myself and my wife were celebrating our 30 year (Pearl ) Wedding Anniversary - in the past we have stayed twice at Hampton by Hilton Torquay and really enjoyed our stays and that was the main reason for choosing to stay there again RECEPTION On arrival the reception was excellent - and we were given access to our room immediately on arrival ROOM To our surprise staff had decorated the bed with balloons/heart shapes/rose petals (artificial) which was a very nice touch The room was very clean/facilities were excellent and included a fridge. The bed was large/comfortable. Bathroom /shower was excellent. Plenty of tea/coffee provided. There is a safe BREAKFAST Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice with food/refreshments Breakfast staff were excellent (Kate was very professional/hard working/friendly) CLEANING Excellent - all the cleaning staff we met were very professional/helpful/friendly HOTEL STAFF Every member of the hotel staff we met were professional/helpful/friendly We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Torquay and will definitely be returning

TOILET PAPER ! Needs to be better quality STORAGE SPACE Wardrobe was great but there was only 1 cabinet at one side of the bed - there is space for a cabinet at both sides of the bed and this would have have helped
