Mangia's Himera Resort

We stayed at this all-inclusive resort and absolutely loved our experience. The property was so aesthetic and spotless. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. The food was impressive!! The lunch and dinner menus changed daily, which kept things exciting, while breakfast stayed consistent and delicious. I feel like the buffet had something for everyone even the pickiest of eaters! The view was spectacular every single day and the private beach was peaceful, clean, and the perfect spot to relax. I definitely recommend bringing beach shoes since it’s very rocky at the shoreline. We also brought our two dogs and really appreciated that the resort was pet friendly as advertised. They provided dog bowls in our room, which was such a sweet touch. A heads up for protective dog owners: there are stray cats around the property. We did have one try to go after our dogs in their stroller, but the situation was handled. If you’re traveling with pets, a stroller is a must. To remain respectful to other guests, we sat at the tables inside the restaurant closest to the exits in case they started barking excessively. Another thing we loved was that the resort allowed us to check in early and check out early, which made our arrival and departure so much smoother. They also offer an option to extend your stay until 4 PM for an additional cost, which I think is amazing and honestly unheard of! We couldn’t take advantage of it this time, but I love that they make that option available for guests. Other highlights that we loved was that our room had a Nespresso machine and there were fun activities like karaoke night (“The Voice”) where my husband actually won us discounted massages! The lifeguards doubled as the entertainment team and they brought such a fun, energetic vibe to the whole stay.

The hotel is nice though we were a bit unlucky with the weather. The cleaning service (Mery) was very nice and forthcoming.

The food was a huge disappointment…poor selection and quality. Especially for Sicily …. It was inferior to any place that we have stayed/dined in the last two weeks of our vacation. We opted to go into Cefalu to eat on our second day.

Très bon accueil à notre arrivée, surclassement et petites attentions très appréciées ! Le personnel est au petit soin et l'animation est top (Guisy ❤️). Les équipements sont très bons, l'hôtel est très propre et bien entretenu. La piscine est à la bonne taille par rapport à l'hôtel. Nombreux transats un peu partout. La restauration est bonne, notamment les pâtes et les grillades minutes.

Les alentours de l'hôtel sont sans intérêt, il n'y a rien à faire à pied pour se balader. Matelas trop dur pour nous... Une attention particulière devrait être portée sur le snack car très peu de salé. Des petits sandwichs triangles et autres wraps seraient appréciés... Les alcools du All Inclusive ne sont pas terribles.
