Hotel Canandaigua, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

This trip was our second trip to this hotel. The first time we were there was in March and we were pleased with our experience. Because it was our 40th anniversary, we had a beautiful large room with a balcony overlooking the lake. We also had a bottle of champagne, charcuterie, board, and strawberries and chocolate. It was wonderful . There are a few things that I wonder about and realize that it is not the staff at the hotels fault. Many of the reviews I have been reading here talk about the furniture. The furniture is very strange on our beautiful balcony that we could’ve put 10 chairs we had a chair that looked to be like something you’d see in a banquet Table and then another chair not sure where that came from. They couldn’t buy nice furniture for the balcony? We had a small table in our room, but only had one chair. The bar area is great, but very understaffed. Tony the bartender is wonderful, but he needs help! We were there over the Fourth of July and it was quite crowded. They need to accommodate for that. I also am not a fan of the dog policy but again I realize that that is a Hilton policy it’s unfair to the staff. Overall, a great experience.

Cleanliness, size of the room, Jeff at the front desk was very helpful.

It is a beautiful hotel. Walking into a beautiful hotel like that just makes the trip all that much better.

Location was very convenient

Hot tub was not available. Front desk man was rude when we asked about it. Then the First night a noise I can only describe as an industrial vacuum woke us up at 4:30am and continued until we left our room at 7:30am for the day, we made staff aware. When we returned the noise had stopped.

I booked two rooms through Booking.com. When I called the hotel to verify they only had one room booked. When I called Booking.com, I was told that they would contact the hotel and it could take 48 hours to hear back. I never heard back. Thankfully I booked an additional room directly through the hotel the day before the reservation date. I’m very unhappy with Booking.com’s lack of resolution to my problem.
