The building was dated and dirty. The bedroom and bathroom smelt musky and had marks on the walls.

Great hotel and venue stayed here for a family wedding. Staff couldn't do enough for us was friendly and polite. Room was clean and comfortable. Will be staying again.

Exterior of building lovely. Good location

Poor facilities. Some areas unclean. Generally run down. Complimentary breakfast wasn't available on first morning due to full dining area and one staff member dealing with it in the room.

I made this booking for Friday 13 th June at the Pinegrove hotel through booking.com and this was paid through the app at the same time. I reconfirmed the booking with the hotel(conversation in app to hotels directly) the week before. When I arrived at the hotel they told me they had no rooms available and that they had to turn away others. They blamed booking.com for overbooking. I protested this for over an hour as it was late at night and I was a woman alone having travelled 8 hours from Bournemouth. They kept ignoring me and telling me there was nothing they could do. After half an hour of me refusing to move and in tears ,suddenly they told me there is actually a room available and it will cost you £210 which I had to agree to having nowhere else to go.The hotel owner mentioned there was breakfast but when all the guests arrive in the reception at 545 !am as we had a run event, everything was shut and no staff on duty. Everybody had to leave keys on reception desk.In addition, the manager refused to even look at me and did nothing to resolve the situation. the hotel did this to other people that night , 3 of which had to sleep on the bar floor and another 3 separate bookings were all made to sleep in the same room. These people had never met before. This hotel is a disgrace and especially as a solo woman I was made to feel incredibly vunerable late at night.
