Absolutley stunning view, in a nice and quiet location.

The key lock box was not the easiest to figure out. We struggled to get the box to open after inserting the pin number, and to get the key out 😜 but we got there in the end 🥰 It might have been our mistake, not understanding how to use it 🤪

Its location

Unreasonably high rates.

It was a great, quiet location that had easy instructions of how to check in, as well as anything we needed to know during the stay.

The bathroom is really big however as there is only a shower curtain, the bathroom floor gets really wet because of this.

Close to the town centre and had nice views of the lake and surrounding mountains

The fridge is tiny and the apartment above can be noisy

I paid $908 AUD for 2 nights and feel VERY ripped off! I strongly suggest improvements to the property: Hooks to hang coats. A spare blanket!! PLEASE! A proper towel rack vs the two piddly plastic wall hooks provided. A toilet seat cover. For goodness sake! An outside light! I tripped down one of the steps in the dark. Lucky I wasn't hurt. The steps at the door need highlight strips! I could hear every stomp of the kids upstairs and every bounce of their ball. Insufficient power points - put one on the other side of the bed too. Would a shelf over the kitchen sink be too much to ask? Honestly, this is one of the worst places I've stayed in. And questionable value for money. Booooo.

Great location for Tekapo. Clean.

We were a little disappointed with our stay here. It was our most expensive accommodation yet it’s the only one lacking basic things. We did contact the company about a few things. We were told that the toilet not having a lid was shown on the photos, something I had never thought to check on photos when booking somewhere to be honest! There was no bin in the bathroom if needed and no mirror in the bathroom. The hairdryer cut out multiple times during one use. We understood the higher price is necessary as it’s Tekapo and the cost is for location too, but you expect a luxury feel for somewhere £200+ a night and we just didn’t receive that. We are awaiting a reply still from the company.

The view

When people travel they have luggage. This unit had NOWHERE to put luggage. The shower and bathroom overall were huge. Why that area couldn't have been made smaller to accommodate for somewhere to put 2 suitcases I do not understand. Also the sealing on the window was terrible so with the wind quite literally blowing a gale at night the window whistled like a canary on cocaine. It was terrible. There was a gap of about 30cm between the end of the kitchen bench and the end of the bed making it not easy at all to navigate. Especially so in the middle of the night when you might want to go to the bathroom. There was a nasty stubbed toe incident.
