Stamford Gate Hotel

Lovely, really friendly and great food ! Perfect place to stay to visit St Winifred’s Well.

Last minute booking due to travel issues. Very helpful staff. Friendly. Clean and tidy. Older style of hotel but standards high. Food great. Highly recommend. Perhaps needed to be more intune with Covid. Perhaps take the lead instead of following the crowd- staff had no masks. But that would be my only winge.

Outstanding overall , but the bed was old and lumpy, not comfortable at all, shame because everything else was perfect

The restaurant was very clean and decor was good. Bedrooms and bathroom are dated and needed updating. Some maintenance is required

Loved our stay here! The rooms were clean, shower was hot and powerful and bed was super comfy. The food was really really good, all made fresh. Highly recommend eating here! The staff were really friendly and despite a separate function taking place the staff were super busy but were very attentive to us and not once did we get up for a drink! We look forward to returning!

The shower was not working unless you had it on 50*!! when l put the shower any lower we had no water so we ended up having baths instead. The food was lovely the staff were pleasant parking was not a problem. The view wasn't brilliant on the ground floor (brick wall) but then we were out all day so didn't matter.

Great food

Lovely small place with a big place experience. Rooms good size, comfy bed and very quiet night, slept like a baby. Food excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again
