Lovely classic inn with open fires and warm welcoming team. Food was very good and very pretty village.

I like to support Historic country pubs as they are so much out risk these days from an unsympathetic government and tax regime

I would have liked a suitcase rack as being elderly. It is difficult to access my suitcase when it is on the floor. Also the lighting in My bedroom was soft but dull and unsuitable for Reading in bed. They was throughout the evening periods of buzzing behind my bed coming through the wall and I can only assume that this was the extractor fan from the bedroom next door which was disappointing and not what I was expecting

Clean comfortable rooms and streaming services. Quality toiletries provided.

No fridge, food overpriced and not enough vegan options. A plate of butter beans (stew) whilst tasty is very costly at £22. Homemade bread was missed and staff rushed. Very surprised I was told to call head office by Melissa to make a direct booking when enquiring about another nights stay, clearly didn’t want to help at that time.

Not enough teabags in the bedroom!

My overnight stay at The Grovenor Arms in Hindon couldnt have been better. A very comfortable big room with every possible amenity thought of from the fresh milk and homemade cookie given to me on my arrival to have with the fresh ground coffee or choice of herbal, Earl Grey or Breakfast tea in the room. Even their own brand bath salts to enjoy a relaxing bath. A very comfortable bed and even a hot water bottle had I needed it. The pub is a beautiful, and has been sensitively restored and still kept the lovely proper village pub feel with stone flagged floors and a huge inglenook fireplace with a blazing fire. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the breakfast in the morning and the staff couldnt have been more welcoming, friendly and attentive. Will definitely return and bring my husband next time, Hindon is a beautiful village and would like to explore it and the area surrounding.
